NAGS TO RICHES

i lost the will to play poker recently, especially long tourneys, so after a semi- break of 2 or 3 months of rarely playing online i joined a lesser known site full of european players but not so many brits.
im not ready for the long mtts that i used to play so i have gone back to my poker roots ...the sit n go.

i am finding that i am enjoying the game again (probably because i am winning) and have played 30 games in the last 3-4 weeks.. not too much as i dont want to become bored again and only small stakes ranging from $5 (1/2 of the games) up to $15 - the average fee is $8.

my results have been as follows

30 games
12 x wins
7 x 2nd
1 x 3rd
10 x unp

$244.20 buy-ins
$490.00 returns
200% ROI

Is this, as i think, exceptional?
can i expect this to continue ?
is this just a 'lucky run'?
is the standard at this level (under $20) just terrible? it seems so

i keep expecting the bubble to burst but tonight i have run up my 2nd '3 on the trot' and 2nd '4 out of 5'

as i said i am starting to enjoy the game again and would advise anyone who is feeling the same as i was to try the sit n go route, long runs of not cashing in mtts after frequently going deep and then getting 'chimped' can take its toll.

good luck , but more importantly enjoy.

I remember you saying you prefered the flat NTR.
I prefer the jumps and love the Aintree meeting.
Me and my mates have been going on the Friday for the last 18 years.
Broke my feccing ankle last year though.....slipped on a dodgy pie and got carted off in a wheelchair!
Still won't stop this year being the 19th on the spin!

We'll have to put our heads together early April ;)

n.b. morning tilt.....hope your head ain't as painful as mine.

Defo a lucky run. If you came back after 500/1000 games and had the same roi you would be a superuser ;)

obv it could be luck or maybe like me some yrs ago, the pieces of the jigsaw now fit, it just clicks.
Since October 2007 (after a 4 month break) i have pld 276,070 9 seat sit n gos.

I have results as follows:

1st 94102
2nd 77955
3rd 61029
unp 42984

IT CAN BE DONE

If you find a site/ game type you can beat then don't leave until you've milked the last drop. 30 games isn't a big sample so don't be worried if your ROI drops. Don't play with scared money (ie. you start losing so your scared to lose more) and you'll keep it going, any ROI above zero is good ;-)

You are more likely to see Elvis, Jacko and Tupac riding a flying pig than being able to achieve those stats.

nice results but as said already way too small a sample for the roi to be relevant. i set my sharkscope HD to 100 minimum sample before any icons are used and even that is way too small. 500 min sample so i guess go and play as many as u can to get a clearer picture and move up stakes

bear in mind a 10% roi at $20 is very different to a 10% roi at $50

I find those stats very difficult to believe Rowland. Who should we be looking for on Sharkscope and which network. I would defy anyone to score in 5 out of 6 D2Ns let alone 5 out of 6 SNGs.

So he was in with a chance then?

Now if you had said 'riding shergar' that might have clinched it
