Will it be Home [1], Draw [X] or Away [2] ? You decide!

1-X-2 is the exciting new concept in tournament poker from Betfair where your opinion could win you a share in ADDED tournament prize pools....but only if you can predict the correct result!

Here's how it works:

On selected days we will pick a televised football match as our featured game for the 1-X-2 Footie Special. All you need to do is join the tournament which you think the result of the match will be. For example:

AC Milan Vs Man UTD

1. If you think AC Milan will win the game, join the 1-X-2 AC Milan tournament

2. If you think Man UTD will win the game, join the 1-X-2 Man UTD tournament

X. If you think it will be a draw, join the 1-X-2 The Draw tournament

At the end of the match, $1,000 will be added to overall prize pool of the tournament that corresponds to the correct result e.g. If Man UTD win the match then $1,000 would be added to the overall prize pool in 1-X-2 Man UTD tournament.

You can only join one 1-X-2 tournament, so be sure to study the form and choose wisely if you want to be in with a shout of scoring your share of the $1,000 in ADDED cash!

This week's 1-X-2 Footie Special featured matches are:

AC Milan Vs Man UTD (K.O. 19:45 GMT) - Tuesday 16th February
FC Porto Vs Arsenal (K.O. 19:45 GMT) - Wednesday 17th February

This week's 1-X-2 Tournaments have a $1 buy in and will kick off at 19:30 GMT

As always, we would be interested to hear your feedback on 1-X-2 and any thoughts or suggestions you may have to improve it.

Good luck!

It says the 1-x-2 holding tank is a private tourney - anyone else have the same problem ??
Report The Vegas Virgin February 16, 2010 2:19 PM GMT
@ Mr Myxlplyx

You can only register in one tournament as you either think Milan will win, United or the Draw. The Holding Tank is there to ensure a player can only register into one event rather than all 3.

IGNORE the Holding Tank - just pick your score and register to the corrisponding tourney! :-)

Thanks,

V.V.

PS - Man United will win :-)

Jammie Doughnuts

Ingredients250g plain flour
1/2 x 7g sachet fast-action dried yeast
50g golden caster sugar , plus 50g extra
2 egg yolks
150ml milk , warmed
50g butter , melted, plus 50g vegetable or sunflower oil, for shaping
370g jar raspberry jam

1.Put the flour, yeast, sugar and 1⁄2 tsp salt into a large bowl, mix, then make a well in the middle. Beat the egg yolks, milk and melted butter together, tip into the well, then bring together with a cutlery knife. The dough will seem wet and rough. Leave to stand for 10 mins, after which it will have firmed a little.

2.Oil the work surface and your hands, then tip out the dough and knead for about 5 mins until it looks smoother and feels springy. Keep oiling your hands if the dough sticks. Let it rise in an oiled, covered bowl in a warm place for about 2 hrs or until doubled in size.

3.Give the dough another quick knead, then shape into walnut-size balls and place on baking sheets, well spaced. Cover again, then leave to rise for 30 mins-1 hr until risen and the dough no longer springs back when you prod it. Heat oven to 190C/fan 170C/gas 5.

4.Bake for 12-15 mins until risen and dark golden. Can be frozen at this stage for up to 1 month. Defrost, then reheat for few mins in the oven. Melt 50g butter in a pan and put 50g sugar into a large bowl. Let the doughnuts cool for a few mins, then brush with butter and roll in sugar. Spoon a few tbsp jam into a piping bag with a 5mm nozzle. Poke a hole in each doughnut, then push in the nozzle and squeeze in a little jam.

Best served warm.

Quick tip Betfair, put the game up before you announce it on the forum, that way mugs like me won't be searching for ages trying to find it.

Thanks also Horace, been ages since I've seen that as well.
