I've played a lot of (low stakes) heads up SNGs recently....Why do the majority of players seem to open minimum raise every button?

I just don't get it....I very rarely fold...but they just keep doing it...some of them are relentless.

What am I missing here? ...seems a noddy move to me.

They are building a bigger pot in posiiton yet lose less if they are reraised. O

..they then bet every flop when you check to them....so at the 10 20 blind level...they put (say)..90 *****in the pot to my 20...before the hand even starts properly....and they have no idea where they are the majority of the time.

..and you can reraise them pre ...with all sorts of stuff...if you so decide ....

It's because they have read that you should raise every button. Because they have no real understanding of what or why they are doing it they just decide to mini raise as a compromise ;)

From what I can see at low stake SNG's serial min raising is -ev. So, I'm quite happy to see players do it.

That's because they are losing players with little understanding to why they are mini raising.

It's when they start to understand what they are doing that they become a problem :)
