It really depends on stack sizes. If they have 10bb and they miniraise prelfop then they are probably not going to pass (though they will a certain amoutn fo the time) and so you should reevaluate your ahnd based on its strength and how much a percentage it is of your stack.
If it is early doors and they raise to 40 then they usually have a hand they want to see a cheap muliti way flop with like a small pair or suited connectors and you should reraise to isolate if you so wish or just call if you do not wish to play a big pot and dont kmind multiple callers. It gets tricky when your oppoennt has about 15-20 bb as then they ahve much more fold equity but any reraise by you commits you to the pot. You should then consider posiiton and player image. |

Like when your thinking of raising and the min raise from the donkey comes in.
Probably escaped from the fixed limit tables, reraise them anyway, you obviously have position on them. |

A very valuable contribution to the debate. Not nearly enough food related posts on here, imo. |

No, was at your table a couple of days ago. Not for long but enough to think itchyology was probably you. Was testing out playing fixed limit O8 cash, since I can't seem to cope with the pot limit Omaha variations.

Yeah, that was me alright. How did you find limit O8?

Decided to have a look after I played an 8 Game MTT where everyone was complete rubbish at the hilo games. FL they are not that bad, but I did have more of an edge than I thought I would. I was there for 20 minutes without dumping a whole buy-in, which is a big improvement on my recent cash sessions.

Lol. there's a few fish wandering around there alright playing all sorts of nonsense and paying off, so there's a few bucks to be made in the long run. I just play really tight, nut-type hands only and it just takes the odd scoop to get ahead a bit every now and again. It's my game of choice when looking to play a nice, relaxed session with low variance.
Feel free to introduce yourself next time ;) |
