Tomorrow Sunday afternoon we won't pay any fee on SNGs...that's great for sure but i just have one question: are we getting poker points when we play those SNGs? Poker points reflect the fee paid and since there's no fee the logical answer would be no, but i guess lot of us need them to reach the next cash bonus step and without the points in the next-to-last day of the promotion it could be very hard to achieve that.

Anyone got any info about this? Thanks

I'd say they almost certainly don't count, but from how I read it, there are fee paying STTs available too. Doubt you'll gte many takers though

So basically you can play all day long sit&goes with a buyin of $200 without having to put any money in by yourself, am i understanding it right?

all the fee free ones are turbos or super turbos

hey min..you're not on your own..i understood it that way as well..thought what a good thing to do, they definately are finally understanding how frustrating, time comsuming and annoying all these crashes are ..so are giving away some money for good will...now i realise they are just not taking their commision and it actually aint costing them a penny...guess something is better than nothing, but my first thought seemed the more appropiate way to compensate for the hassle they create.

dont mean to be rude but do you live in cloud cuckoo land - work out how much that would cost them.

i think this is an absolutely fantastic gesture, and yet another sign that those running the site are actually trying to keep whats left of the customer base.

enjoyed the xmas promos, thought the jan cash bonus was another step in the right direction, and now doing something positive to correct the admittedly disappointing software crash.

When did this become a moderated thread? Just tried to post about the SNG's, and was told my post would have to be checked?

you probably mentioned r ake which is a banned word and get that message
Report MeikoSatomura January 31, 2010 12:01 PM GMT
My point was that the D2N Fee Free games are functionally different from the normal ones. May well have mentioned the r word in it.

But I think my point is valid. Why give us fee free games that are different from the ones we normally play. Different stack sizes, much reduced thinking time! Makes playing them far harder, less profitable, and genuinely unpleasant (not fun trying to raise and being timed out when you would normally have 7 seconds left on the clock - you start thinking about the clock not your hand.) Chances of being able to play 2 tables let alone 3 or 4 at once - absolutely nil.

I guess it will mean BF get the PR from their gesture, while the multitablers, who generate a disproportionate amount of r ake, are forced back to the fee paying tables so it costs very litte.
Report chipfire227 January 31, 2010 12:19 PM GMT
you are just blatantly looking to moan for the sake of moning now ffs.
Report MeikoSatomura January 31, 2010 12:37 PM GMT
No I am not. Look at how long I have been with Betfair, and how many posts can you remember from me complaining? I don't exactly have form for complaining for the sake of it!

Why are Betfair offering these Fee free games? Because the site has had a number of issues lately - it has been frustrating playing here recently. I am still waiting to be paid for the games I cashed in last night just prior to the outage.

So the gesture is not an act of philanthropy - it is backed by a solid business reason. But the execution of it has been awful - I guess it must have been impossible to set up fee free games of the same ilk as the ones they normally offer for the time they had advertised.

So as one of the frustrated/unhappy players this gesture was supposed to reach out to, I am now if anything more unhappy than I would have been if they had offered me nothing. Rather than playing 20+ fee free games this afternoon, I either play 20 games and pay circa $50 for the privilege (which just seems wrong as this was advertised asee free day) or I play half a dozen games which I am not used to. Or I do what I am going to do, which is watch the football, and then look for a new site.

fee free sounds great, but doesnt help me much that no-one to fill a whole sng, stuck on 3 registered for a 6er for ages here.

anyone fancy joining?
Report wykhamist February 1, 2010 12:16 AM GMT
Amazing that people still seemed to want to play the fee-charging ones when the free ones were slow to fill up.

I playerd a bunch this evening and have to admit I lost money overall. They all were super turbo which is not my forte and playing 4 at once probably didnt help either.

Since the marginal cost to betfair of running them is zero it was hardly that great a gesture by them. Hardly think it will do much to stop the general stampede out of the site.

Other poker sites are only charging 30c fee for a $5 D2N, and the competition is generally weaker. So why would I want to play at Betfair any more?
