A simple outline of the format

Prize will be a $5000 package per player for the winning team (so $20,000 team package) made up of 1x$1500 WSOP event + 1x$1000 WSOP event + $2500 expenses / spending money

Team Event - each team has 4 players - we need 20 teams for it to work

MTT's - one game a week $44 buy in (details of how this is split are given below) for 12 to 14 weeks (probably 14 weeks) starting beginning of March.

Points are earnt for MTT finishing positions with all four players accumulating points for a league table

Top 6 teams in the league make it through to the final

The 8 teams that finish 7th to 14th go into the playoffs for the two remaing positions in the final

There are potentially two options on how to do the playoffs / finals

1) we host 8 teams in either 4 or 8 stts (that allows one player from each team to play an stt versus one player from each of the other teams)

or

2) Teams go head to head in heads up games with the winners going through. In the event of a draw - whoever finished higher in the MTT league goes through to the next round. This add weight to the importance of where you finish in the league.

How the weekly mtt buy ins will be distributed:

$20 + $20 + $4 (total $44) buy-in
- of which $20 goes towards the prize pool for the tourney being played that day
- $20 goes towards prize pool
- $4 is the house fee

therefore assuming we get 20 teams - it means $20 x 20 teams x 4 players x 14 weeks = 22400 (package is worth 20,000)

so the remaining 2400 can go to either the team that finished second or into a freeroll for all players who played at least 12 of the 14 league games

Hi mate

If you have factored into to your calcs that every team will last for the 14 weeks then you may have a problem.

Teams with no chance of winning will give up quite quickly. If the prizes are guaranteed at start then no probs but if not cld be a bit car crash after a few weeks in.

Intention is to guarantee the prizes

- with up to 14th place still in with a chance of winning, i think it should work

- maybe final game might be worth double points?

Excellent point Joff - i think I have a solution to that -

we could making the last five games as pre-registered by paying 5x $20 prize pool money - into a holding tank.

We could even run a satelite for players to try win that $100 for the holding tank.
