Had two hands today in cash that involved playing mediocre or drawing hands out of position to a raiser and wanted to get people's thoughts. It is situations like this where I struggle to figure of whether to play the hands or not and if so how you play them
Cash Live £1/2 - game has been fairly normal with a lot of preflop aggro but few big pots
Situation One
Position 4 playing £300 weak passive
Position 5 playing £350 loose
Position 6 Hero playing £650
Position 7 playing £250 tight
Button playing £150 loose aggressive
Position 4 raises to £7 and Pos 5 calls as do you with Ac9c
Position 7 instantly and confidently raises to £30
Position 8 calls
Position 4 folds
Position 5 calls
Do you call here or do the fact that you are out of position to the raiser and against smallish stacks make it a fold?
Situation 2
Cash Live £1/2 - same game
Position 2 playing £500 limps, tight
Position 4 playing £300 limps, weak passive
Position 5 playing £200 limps, no read yet
Position 6 SB Hero playing £750 calls with A10 offsuit
Position 7 BB playing £200 loose, insta raises to £15
Everyone folds bar Pos 4 - what do you do?

Situation 2 looks a really easy fold to me. Such a stinking hand to play oop, much prefer to call with 7c8c here.
Situation 1, I hate these hands too. Raising pre may well be better than calling, but folding pre is probably best. You need to hit the flop so hard to carry on, and only A9x or 3 clubs vs Kcxc or QcYc gets them to pay you off. But I know I am weak and sometimes call pre. |

Hand 1. Fold Pre to first raise (As played fold to re raise)
Hand 2. Re pop to £60 and snap call shove. ;) |

situ 2 raise or reraise esp given your player image descriptions and bet any flop hard to the loose guy. |

the first call with A9 is dreadful, the fact you are even contemplating calling the reraise is just baffling and...... where do you play cash coz i want a seat ;-) |

1 simple fold
2 either rr to 50 then bet 85 on any flop and call his shove or call and check raise his cbet on any flop |
