Whilst you would have to be wearing very rose tinted spectacles to descibe him as a 'Nice Guy', He is however, very quck witted and can be great fun to spend a few hours bantering with at the table.
His cahunas are BIG as are his degen tendencies, ( One memorable momment was him winning the WSOP Omaha for about $160,000 immediately sitting down in the 'big' game, losing the lot in an hour, borrowing $10,000 and getting up a few hours later with about $300,000 )

Ok, so he only spent a decade or so at the top of the game, and he might not be there now, but the only reason you lot are hating on him now is because he reached a level most of you aspire to, but have zero chance of reaching.


As for someone refering to him as possibly 'gay'... lol. Dave's OTT pussy hunting is so full on it has to be seen to be believed


Lastly, His new(ish) 'Shameless'/comb over/aging teenager look is awful and does make him look a bit of a pillock, but hey ho we all get old, some of us less gracefully than others.



Anyway, I don't know why I'm writing this... haters gonna hate sure as eggs is eggs. Some people go out do something different with thier lives, most people sit at home moaning about them.

I was sitting on my table at the Irish Open Omaha. He claimed to have tennis elbow after spending too long with his fingers up some bird's backside the previous night (!) :(

I believe there was a thread about it on 2+2 ( full of haters as per norm for the world full of muggles) a year or so ago.

I don't think I've spent longer than 30 minutes ( and it maybe less ) in his company with out him trying to hit on a girl.
He uses what is known in salesman jargon as the 'Assumptive Close' technique ( get your coat, you've scored etc ) but with a bit more originality and often slightly coarse or sexually explicit, basically its so in thier face and full on, that if they haven't walked off in the first 30 seconds then he knows he is in with a chance. ( Sometimes if they do walk off in the first 30 seconds he'll quip to her about not minding that shes a lesbian and how he can cure her and her girlfriend etc etc ).

Yea, I'm surprised ( and jealous ) it works but it seems to.

I saw him get out of a cab in London just before xmas and he had a blonde stunner with him.

Someone stating Devilfish is boring, is like stating black is white, you can say it as many times as you like, you might even believe it, you can make yourself feel feel big and important by post it on the internet........ but it doesn't make true.

Ok i will take back boring but i don`t particularly take to the fella,I know he has had his good moments and he can play good poker i just don`t like the geezer .I hope this helps

his all in call with A2 is just something you expect from a first time playing amateur, he knew he was geting outclassed and knew he just got it all in prayed for the best

his play acting when he had the nuts was just cringe worthy and if tabatabia gave it anythought he would of known his KK was no good


i like his banter but he uses it to disguise he actually isnt any good at poker anymore, the young guns are worlds ahead of him
