OP seems to be saying that moving from situation (1), or a state of quasi-illegality, to (2) is a bad thing. I'd say rather that it's a step in the right direction that will probably eventually lead to widespread, international legal play as countries and states harmonize their laws, make agreements, etc. AlwaysWrong is online now Reply With Quote Old 09-09-2009, 05:55 PM #63 Droschopf enthusiast Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 94 Re: View: the end of international online poker Quote: Originally Posted by AlwaysWrong View Post I'll give you a choice: (1) It's illegal to play online poker *at all* (2) It's legal to play certain types of poker but only against players in your country / state. Many euro poker sites have banners saying no usa players allowed, so although their are ways round these things if you really want to find a way.The usa have been fairly effective in banning their players from playing euro sites while in the usa.So iam sure this would have some impact on the freedom of euro players to play each other on the sites they presently do.Euro law is obv diff from the usa , but in euro law nearly every country has opt in opt out clauses. This may be used to keep their players playing only on their sites.

Quantum strategies, that's the future.

Sort of interesting , i say sort of because i can honestly say i dont completly understand it.But from what i gethered it seems like a bot, which i assume will not be allowed. Many in play calculators are banned on most sites,as its our computor optimizing our play then its an aid which will not be allowed.

Quantum strategies would only apply on a quantum internet of connected quantum computers playing a quantum version of poker so don't worry your pretty little heads about it.
I could explain it but since this forum is made up of people asking poker players what car they should buy (they are related how?), mooching for cash and how to play AA preflop I doubt anyone would understand it. |

happy new year to u to bluff
happy as ever |

lol. I recall the masses of high quality poker content posted by yourself Bluf. In between the idle threats, brags, boasts, whinges, inane stories of drugs strippers and how your Brighton Gazzettes answer to John Paul Getty, Charles Wells & Pete Doherty combined.
Happy new year, its always a pleasure and never a chore ;-) |

Glad to know I made an impact. Can't say I remember a single post of yours tho.
Why not make your next post more memorable and explain quantum poker? |
|

I must admit I find it quite easy not to respond to "how can he call" threads from someone whose range is as wide as the grand canyon. Even after the millionth time of asking. But it was nice of you to have a go at posting about poker I suppose.
Do you want to discuss Quantum strategies, or just nitpick to try and make yourself look clever, whilst not really contributing? We know the answer, so save yourself the bother and go out and try to be nice to people! Happy new year. |
|
By:
I'll take that as a 'no' then.
Don't worry if you can't understand it. Some people just weren't meant to understand anything more complex than how to get food in their mouth. Anyway, I'm off out. Happy New Year to you too. |

My brains too big for my head to exist at the quantum scale.

I'm sure that particular problem could be resolved by removing your head from your ar$e-hole once in a while.

I'm sure that particular problem could be resolved by removing your head from your ar$e-hole once in a while. How would that decrease the size of my brain? With logic like that, I think I now understand why you're too stupid to understand basic quantum mechanics that a schoolkid should be able to comprehend. |
|
By:
In case you had not noticed, the comment was a dig at your ego, not a real attempt at discussing quantum mechanics.

Clearly, since such a discussion is beyond the capabilities of your feeble mind.
