tbf I think 2009 has been the year for quality rather than quantity for the BF chimps.
Tourney scheduling is one long everlasting (ockup, and is hard to break down into smaller component errors. Did BF invent the deepstack superturbo ? |

Aussie Millions rakerace looks like a surefire entry, but it is not yet concluded so should wait to see just how big a circus tent is needed to house that one.

Letting Paul Twaddle slip from their hands, the only person at Betfair poker who seemed to know about poker!

Ok, there are some fair comments here.
I'm sure you can appreciate that in any technology driven industry, technical errors and indeed human error means things can and will go wrong. It's not always apparent but I think its important to say where problems do occur, we try to rectify them as quickly as possible and take measures to ensure it doesn't happen again. So, what did we do right in 2009, come on there must be something, lets have a top 5 for that... I'll start you off: 1. Aussie Millions points qualification - genuinely the best value qualification route anywhere on the net. 2. Free Million Dollar Game - Winning $1,000,000 at the WSOPE absolutely free can't be bad. 3. ? 4. ? 5. ? What do you want see in 2010? Absolutely anything you can think of, doesn't matter how small. Also bear in mind it's a world cup year.... BF Santa |

I heard they chopped 5 ways.....? |

BF Santa how about keeping guarantees at what they were originally at?
For eg; 12k gtd and 5k gtd one has been dicontinued and the other 2k off the top? |

How is having a big freeroll series open to all which leads to you giving 1 big prize out to someone who may or may not play muhc on the site good, rather than rewarding your regular customers?
|
|
By:
Santa has been on the sauce again!
In response you are still making the same errors over and over again, and your customer service simply stinks. Your ip service is not even nearly convincing. End of errand. To answer your question what could you do in 2010, just aim for competence would be as high as can reasonably be expected, and would improve the product a thousand fold. |

OK ... i have a few positives to add:
1) i think the 12 plays of christmas is a nice promo 2) WSOPE (Event 1 as thats the only one i attended) was good 3) The development of Betfair sponsored events around Europe Portugal, Vienna etc... 4) The tournament schedule as chaotic as it has been, has improved lately and the number of satelties feeding into them are very encouraging. 5) Australia promo is excellent value - agreed. 6) Some nice Betfair Live promotional events Other comments: ... the $1m freeroll qualification favoured players outside the UK (but that said, your live promo events, appear to favour UK players ... you messed up the advertising of a few promo prizes along the way - im still waiting for a Nintendo DS (or was it a PSP) for my son ... the 100 Danes was a shocker and a half What i would like to see: 1) Absolute must imo ... consistency with the flagship games on this site - stop chopping and changing the flagship daily / weekly games 2) Get some team events together for these Betfair Europe events .... add some value to it, If you dont want to organise the team events, ... I am sure some forum representatives could combine to manage it - Im prepared to invest the time to do it. 3) Bring back the passport stamps for specific Betfair Europe events 4) A little bit more for WSOP possibly? I personally would like to win a WSOP package that covers say: 2 x $1500 events + a generous expenses package. as opposed to a $10K main event one. A little more creativity please. I havent really come across many players that dont show interest in getting to vegas .... We are all human, we all make mistakes, but there needs to be a touch more prefessionalism to get things right so you are not back tracking all the time. overall, i dont think i am as disatisfied with betfair as i might have at times reflected, because there has been some good positives. |

I'm relatively new to Betfair poker so I can claim to know the ins and outs of all the issues on your list however; I am certainly guilty of a couple of errors in my short time that have impacted on service. I have to say my favourite reply during BF Santas Xmas Quiz and the one that made me chuckle most was on the very first day by Soap [this was before I had got my eye in]:

ok here's a very, very, current** up.
this months edition of poker player. huge 2 page spread advertising betfairs new triple crown competition. $12,000 prize money, all singing all dancing wonder promotion. great news for all existing players and new players. great idea, and in principle great promotion as unlike leaderboards this is based on ability. competition ran from 4th december to 17th december . it has its own website where we are told there will be daily updates. you go to the advertised website and guess what ? no leaderboards just a blank page, so no fooker has a clue how they stand and nobody has any incentive to take part. you email bf cus services and they dont even seem to know it exists, even tho its advertised in a national poker magazine and finished yesterday. anyone reading the mag who hadnt played on here and thinking " i fancy a crack at that " must be wondering what kind of cowboy outfit bf poker is. oh and i still havent been paid my winnings for the last bf poker player comp which finished in march :-( |

you still owe me 3 betfair hoodies from 4 years ago

Santa my positive wish list for you as want feedback.
1) Something to use poker points on where you dont need 9 billion - copy paste from *s or** programs or offer extra 10% cake if above certain target in month in exchange for points like MicroG sites. 2) Better information in Sats (mega baisc) - also an unreg for a ticket option to use diff night. 3) If offer promos leaderboards etc, ensure annouced before promo starst and leaderboard updated as per the terms and conditions. 4) Look into **ing reports and stop giving this data protection act blks, your site is Malta not UK anyway and we all know it is a big issue on Bfair. 5) WSOP cake related promo like Oz and decent sats to various events that sounds like you may have in hand. gl |
