Why does Bell keep getting picked?
He is a useless spineless waste of a batsmen. |
By:
should be his last, big mistake to pick him over the extra bowler here (sidebottom), with any sense they pick they rectify nexct test (tho may opt for Wright as a half way house)

By:
1 ball sorry
By:
pietersen is the problem. end of.
get me a team player every day than him thanks. |
By:
I missed the run out. What happened?
By:
takr him out and they would have already lost this test imho
By:
ball goes about 4 yards, pietersen shouts yes and runs. trott insta-shouts "no". pietersen keeps on running.
they both end up at the same end. |
By:
disagree obv soap. batting collapses normally have a seed. that sort of stupid event changes the game completely. happens too often.
By:
was stupid by kp, doesnt excuse some of the spineless cr4p that has followed tho
By:
that's a bit harsh - only bell played a poor shot
but batting collapses have real momentum about them. it's really hard to explain but it seeps through the whole team and turns good batters into rabbits the trick is to stop them starting! |
By:
if he gets single can they throw it over boundary for 4 instead?
By:
overthrows would be the way to do it or the ball will be called dead
By:
Why was he even trying to get a run? Its not the first time I've seen a guy run out when trying to save a game. Complete and utter madness.
By:
ah - but even then it'd not change the batters ends....
so prob not... |
By:
@wall
cos he's a selfish **** |
By:
well played Mr Onions. great defence there
By:
GIVE THANKS TO THE NORTH EAST BOTTLE IMHO :D :D :D

By:
Great stuff from Onions.
By:
shame :( but a great game
By:
only bell? prior and braod shots rather lacking in the bottle depts too - both shouldve been leaving
By:
durham cricketers best in the country. :-)
By:
nah - broad played a standard forward defensive prod. has a slightly suspect technique v the spinners but it's marginal.
have to remember tho that he's not in the side for his batting so can't criticise him for getting out like that. if he'd had a swipe and skied one then ok but he played a sensible shot and outdone by slightly suspect technique and a bit of spin. bell - up the bakerloo line to a completely routine short of length ball. it didn't bounce more than it should and it didn't move an inch off straight. |
By:
agree to disagree dibs, broads batting a large part of why he is being slected for me at the moment and shouldnt be playing at one that wide in the situ
By:
ok mate :)

in my humble opinion as a cricket lover for probably longer than most of you have lived, surely if anyone is to blame for us getting into the mess we found ourselves in, it is the captain.
Why on earth when all we have read and heard is that England will go for the attacking mode of cricket on this tour, we win the toss and field. Please can anybody explain how this is ' attacking ' the opposition. Especially seeing as we went in a bowler short. hennigan1 |
By:
Just read my post back and realised how pompous it reads.. What i meant was have been watching cricket for a long long time.
Apologies hennigan1 |
By:
lol :D

By:
the pitch was a touch green and damp before the off which sort of explains the thinking behind both, though i disagree with both.
england have to be picking 5 bowlers, they dont have a mystery spinner or an out and out strike bowler, 5 bowlers is a must. As for inserting, it wasnt the worst move based on expected conditions, no one expected the spinners to prevail (eng nearly didnt play one at all!!!), but craxy to do with only 4 bowlers |
