played him recently in world hu championships.
pretty much every game he seems to sneer at other players moves on him - yeh all the time and kept showing me the best hand like he was making a big fold as he assumed i didnt bluff and then a constant moan about how unlucky he is - yeh all the time like a broken record. I was luckier on flops but the guy survived the first 5 allins where i had him covered and called and still bemoaned his luck like he was some superhuman poker machine he is clearly a very good player but ive seen enough of him on tv and how he acts to come across as not the most likeable guy - He called me boring when i refused to talk during the game. I never talk in pots if im taking a live game seriously for obvious reasons but also cos 9/10 its a complete crock of **e people are talking. He also called a clock on me after less than 10 seconds one hand. any views from guys who have played with him? - This guy tried everything he could to get under my skin to give himself an edge to no avail as it had no effect on me until after the game. Why not just play cards if u r that good ? I assumed this was all an act at the table but it didnt seem that way after at the bar after when i spoke to him briefly. and all he did was mumble sommat about bad luck again (and i should mention i was a qualifier for littlewoods who he represents) enjoyed that ept show last night, was clear to me he didnt play well at the final table or just before it when he folded an AK in a massive pot and was very lucky to manage 2nd in the end. Animal PS: Also luvved it when spanish guy called clock on episode before. Obviously rattled him so much he thought he would try it on me as a tactica month or so later, shame it didnt work and i lost ne respect i had for the guy after that. (which was plenty before the match believe me) |

I noticed MG wasn`t particularly nice to a welsh fella who was a huge underdog at heads up recently on TV.The Welsh chap was such a nice bloke who really needed the victory and money and MG was just off with him.It made me laugh recently when Mark Goodwin was commentating recently and he siad a player with a pair was "mine setting" insted of "set mining".What a turnip !

watched that myself last nite didnt think he came across well at all and was lucky to get 2nd in the end
can you imagine the crying he would have done if hed been on the end of that beat he gave the spaniard |
|
By:
Spaniard deserved all he got, people who call the clock on a big decission are** of the earth imo!
|
|
By:
to be fair the spaniard had called the clock earlier on goodwin when he wasnt in the hand when he had a big decision. so goodwin was tilted about that which i think we all would be. so maybe had summat to do why he didnt come across too good
