ok strange concept i know but maybe a bit of poker related discussion on here ? this hand cropped up at the club at the weekend and has created a bit of discussion and mixed opinions so i thought i would throw it open on here for disection
late on cash hand down to 4 handed from 9 on a rather loose £1/£1 table player 1 button - very rocky and hardly played a hand bought in for £50 and up to £150 ish mainly from getting paid when raising pre with KK and c betting a king high flop and getting called all the way down to all in Player 2 SB - new player at the club strong online and pretty fearless when sitting at cash , uses position well and quite aggressive although does tend to be too loose and bluff wrong players at times playing £150 from a buy in of £200 but been up to £3/400 at one stage Player 3 BB - club regular and big cash donator , has a habit of raising every pot straddling/re straddling - not afraid to stick full stack in blind or with the smallest of draws pairs etc - playing around £100 form maybe £300 worth of buy ins UTG - me , reputation for being rocky and very difficult to get cash off if i have built up , BB is a bit in awe of me and hates getting too involved if im in the pot , SB has played back a couple of times and stated he knows if i play back i have the goods im sat with £160 ish from a £50 buy in
Anyway im dealt AhAd and limp in the expectation of sb or bb doing the usual raise then i would re raise and either get a push back from sb to test or a fishy call from BB - button limps in and both the blinds check for the first time all night Flop is Kc Jc 4s - nice flop for me and after the blinds check i bet £5 - button raises to £35 (unexpected) and the sb thinks about it and pushes his stack in ???????? so i have a major decision , i start asking the usual questions and SB gives the following info ,"im making the correct move because i think you will call me and i am sure he will (button raiser)" i cant get anything out of the button
Q1 - call or fold Q2 - What hands do they both have
In the nicest possible way, what is the point in these posts. You're gonna get ten different opinions, all thinking they are right and quite frankly just look at Keiths. HE COULDN'T FOLD ACE ACE WITH A GUN POINTED BETWEEN HIS EYES yet he offers that advice.

feels like sb on a draw. prob 2 clubs. biggish size raise from the button, almost feels like he doesnt want a call. can rule out KK and JJ i believe. set of 4's a decent probability, KJ the only other hand I think he could have that is beating you, surely he isn't so rocky he limps JJ on an unraised button? could the button be trying it on with KQ or a bluff? if you read him for either you have to call, as I think you are ahead of sb. If you read button for strength its a pass. given the info I think I would pass

Harry - yes i will answer later but give a bit of time first
charly - the reason i posted is the hand had a lot of discussion at the club and me and duffs were talking about it last night and i said i would stick it on here for opinions
rowland - there are some relativley inexperienced players on our cash tables who do tend to give up too much info when the right questions are asked

if u going to slow play aces you have to be willing to pass them after flop
u are obviously against a made hand and a draw. even if you were ahead and they were both on the daw (str8 one flush other) then you not really in great shape with loits of outs to dodge- even though you would have correct odds.
shouldve just folded aces and not made a fuss because now everyone is going to know how big a nit you are and try pushing you around in the future.
the bb could be moodying with k4 kj j4 444 etc btw here.. dont always assume the button reraiser on the flop has the best hand- he could easily have the str8 and flush combo draw with the bb having the made hand rly putting you in a world of pain.
ok its a clear fold obviously.if u going to slow play aces you have to be willing to pass them after flopu are obviously against a made hand and a draw. even if you were ahead and they were both on the daw (str8 one flush other) then you not really i
You have £6 invested into a pot where infinate hands could now be infront of you, do you really want to risk the rest of your stack to find out ?
Nothing wrong with the way you played the aces but it just didnt go to plan and now you got to put them down.
Move on and wait for better.
Got to be one of the easiest folds ever. You have £6 invested into a pot where infinate hands could now be infront of you, do you really want to risk the rest of your stack to find out ?Nothing wrong with the way you played the aces but it just didnt
SB has Q9c or similar for a flush and inside straight draw or perhaps a pair and a flush draw, and BB has 2 pair or K4 or J4 imo.
44 is a possibility for SB for I doubt it from his speach.

sorry been a bit busy but all is revealed i folded , reasons were
Sb virtually gave away his hand with his speech , he had a low flush draw so i would have been happy heads up with him getting evens when a 1/2 fav Button was the problem , the only legitimate hands i could put him on were KK JJ KJ 44 and AK, he was raising me on the flop and massive overbet screamed he was happy with the hand but didnt like the flush or straight draw , so we have 4 hands where im drawing thin or 1 where i have him dominated bearing all this in mind i had to avoid the flush and then pray for AK or hit a two outer to get 2/1 my cash so i dont think it was that hard a fold really
took a bit of stick for it - especially when the button turned over the other 2 aces !!!!! which held against the flush draw

bit of a cheek, when people suggest it might be juiced and you suggest they shouldn't be allowed near sharp objects or electricity. I have a feeling that real deal is gonna shake up the online poker world.
