how does betfair make profit on there poker site with there been no commission charged?know its a silly question,but just want some feedback

Its not a silly question and the answer is they dont as they are a charitable organisation.

You may be interested to note that if you are a higher rate tax payer you can extend your basic rate income tax band and reclaim tax relief on your charitable payments to them.

you can also claim pension contributions relief if you deposit straight from salary. This is very useful for some people, ask your payroll dept about it all.

I think they encourage collusion then confiscate the funds and keep them, prob make a couple of billion a year.
