how does betfair make profit on there poker site with there been no commission charged?know its a silly question,but just want some feedback

Its not a silly question and the answer is they dont as they are a charitable organisation.
You may be interested to note that if you are a higher rate tax payer you can extend your basic rate income tax band and reclaim tax relief on your charitable payments to them. |

you can also claim pension contributions relief if you deposit straight from salary. This is very useful for some people, ask your payroll dept about it all.

I think they encourage collusion then confiscate the funds and keep them, prob make a couple of billion a year.
