2 in 20 isnt that bad of a run. Going 20 woithout a cash is more like it!

im on about 12 without cashing at the minute, but when i first started playing i bet my baron run was alot longer than 20

I remember looking back on this last year and I managed 29 without cashing twice.
But if you look at these top players, you can see how longl losing streaks can last http://www.bluffmagazine.com/thepokerdb/shaundeeb/PokerStars/1745257/player-profile.asp has 66 http://www.bluffmagazine.com/thepokerdb/djk123/PokerStars/1487848/player-profile.asp has 55 http://www.bluffmagazine.com/thepokerdb/shaniac/PokerStars/1224201/player-profile.asp has 46 Annette had 30 odd and closer to home Moorman1 36 |

2 in 20 a bad run lol give me some lessons then please
|
|

I suppose only cashing in 2 out of 20 $20 dollar mtts is pretty bad.... especially as theres only 100 runners max in these.....
Dont give up the day job imo..... |
|
By:
2 out of 20 is about average. If you are a really good player, it is simply variance. If you are a really bad player it is simply variance.
|
|
By:
2 out of 20 is pretty average, but at 20 buck level i would like at least 4 cashes to feel it was worth the effort... keep grinding mate..
|

By:
im at 11 and counting...hope this doesnt last much longer.

OK, let me put it this way if I knew nothing of the OP and he told me he had cashed in 2 out of 20, I would have no idea if he was brilliant and running bad, terrible and won his flips or just average and running average.
It would be ludicrous to conclude he should give up and stick to the day job on such flimsy stats. If shaundeeb can go 60 odd MTTs* without cashing than pretty much anyone can go 20 $20 ones without cashing. * and he has played some pretty small MTTs in amongst his high roller events and his huge online winnings |

I never said give up poker, i said dont give up the day job, at 20$ level only cashing 2 out 20 aint great, but then again not a very big sample..... how have u done over last 200 plz, this may decide whether to hand in your notice or not....
|
|
By:
who said it was $20 average stake? lol you really are a sad case trying to pick arguments on a forum
|
|
By:
Did u not say you have been trying out 20 - 50 $$ mtts and was knowing how to play the DONKS as u put it, another poster who cannot take any reasonable comments.... so what tourneys have u been playing bigshot that i should be bothered with u....I have said dont give up your day job, reasonable advice imo....

I cashed once in the last 25 , 18-man stts.
What's more in a total of 60 I've probably managed about 5 cashes in total. FFS lol. So think urself lucky. gg |

We've been here before. Reckon a run of 70 - 80 games without cashing would be easily possible.

I'm on 18 at the mo, including 4 bubbles or near bubbles, and the worst hand i've gone out on in those 18 is JJ. Yesterdays spectaculars included KK by 34s (made flush) by the big stack raised from the button. Apparently he still had value after my reraise all in which was about 3 times his initial raise, and QQ by 25o. Same excuse, rivered a wheel. I am on the edge of despair with Starz MTTS

Mtts are for fun really with a decent pay day here and there, if u seriously want to make any money from poker learn to play cash games, only way to profit good from the game imo....
