Can anyone advice me on any good books on poker strategy please,going on hols and could use the time to learn a bit. Basic to intermediate please....Thanks.

need to be more specific, poker books are targeted at specific areas of the game.. tournaments, sng's, cash, omaha etc
they each require a different style |

Basic to intermediate as you say, then without a shadow of a doubt I would highly recommend Harrington on Holdem 1. Should be good to read on holiday, as is very informative and very well explained with good examples.
