Considering investing 10 x $100 worth of play into 5 players ...

probably in 4 MTT games worth about $25 each

Only existing real money players would be considered -

Initially thought 5 players, before changing my mind to 10 ... hence the mix up between the heading and the details inside the actual thread ;)

How would this work? what would you expect to get back on your investment? I recently finished 2nd in a 300+ player turbo MTT earning $300 off my initial stake of $5. I have been playing poker for approx 2 years now with a positive return...i may be interested in this..

May I ask mate what you are aiming to achieve by this, like already mentioned stakes are far to low.

Wasnt that long ago Ariston was staking a group of players into the 18k every night when their was an overlay. Not sure how this went but it all went quite quiet so may have bombed.

Surely you may have to up yr stakes and get decent players playing in the tournies with overlays. But then again shirly the decent players will be able to fund them themselves.

My one and only venture into staking was a joint venture with dealem, whilst we had much amusement from it it wasnt **g profitable.

I think theirs better ways , staking with no makeup is a bad plan, mayb its just a bit of fun , in that case fine.
I would look for one player only that can clearly turn a profit but has no bankroll skills.
I would break the 1k into 4 units and start the player off on $10 and less mtts on a low variance site like ipoker.
Every player needs a dream , so to try and get a long biz partnership going with the chosen player i would do a deal of 50/50 but with the incentive that i put half my end towards building a bankroll, this gives the player a chance to move up the stakes, but the roll is always remaining as your money so if your horse is doing well he is still chained to you as he cant play any stakes let alone build to higher stakes with out the roll hes built but is owned by you.
What u dont want to do is have a player that can bust out or if he does well use his stats with you to move on to a diff staking deal.

How can Ariston stake anybody? He now plays $50 sng on betfair under the name NOTSIRA. Obviously he is being staked, the con merchant spends his whole life spending other peoples money and making up new staking schemes with other peoples cash. He will be nearly 50 soon and he still has to resort to making new accounts to play people in low stake games with other peoples cash. What a pathetic person.

The two top games were before I knew it was Ariston, obv now i know it is him i will be happy to play him all day long happy in the knowledge he is living in squalor in a hovel somewhere and every cent i take from him is less money for him to feed his fat face. I last heard he was seen rummaging through bags outside a charity shop before it opened in the blackpool area. How the mighty have fallen, wait a minute he was never mighty just a fraud. Self hyped moron with limited ability and a big mouth.

Ariston I am guessing was not really staking - my assumption is he had a buy one get one free deal with betfair as did one of Betfairs pro's ...

So Ariston was probably getting 25% for handling the admin ...

Anyways ... in short, i think it might be worth a small shot ... so worth a try ... some might be stt staking and others mtt ... i will be flexible to suit the player

and yes Helmuthian ... i would consider you ;)

i was considering 50 / 50 split on winnings and i would base any agreement on 10 game chunks...

i.e. you play 10 x $20 stt's and we reassess from there

All subject to the response i get

anyways - i am already running small free stake promos on my iloveplayingpoker site
