he'll make weight fine, he has the perfect opponent to get back in the win column. im surprised they even booked this fight, diaz has never fought at Middleweight before, and isn't even a huge Welterweight. not to mention he hasn't fought in at least 2 years, and silva is naturally a light heavy who cuts down. so there's going to be a significant size advantage for anderson.
as far as their styles match up i just don't see diaz surviving the whole fight with his plodding forward style and his biggest asset in his cardio and volume punching will be his undoing as it gives so many opening's into silva's counterstriking sniper like style. Diaz also has shown numerous times a tendency to not check leg kicks which will be interesting to see if silva has integrated this fact into his gameplan, especially considering that infamous leg break against weidman.
Diaz also will have no choice where the fight goes as he simply is not proficient enough of a wrestler to take silva down, especially with the size difference coming into play again. Also i can see nick getting pulverized in the clinch, silva's muay thai clinch is amongst the best we've ever seen in MMA, and they will definitely take a lot out of the tank of diaz. the only advantages i can think off for nick are his age and his chin which im sure will be tested majorly here.
