Alpine skiing become a complete joke this year on betfair. Low odds and no liquidity.
In the giant slalom we had something like a 160-290 % market between the 2 runs, last year we had a 105 % market.

I dont know if it has to do with the excluding of the austrian customers from betfair,
which i knew were quite active in alpine winter sports betting.

But as punters side there is no reason to bet on alpine skiing anymore,
as even the bookmakers offer higher odds and there you dont have to pay them 40 % from your winnings.

217 Euro matched in the last women giant slalom race (winner market)

We are at a Point where the Setting up costs (resources and employee costs) for betfair are higher than the commission they are
generating from ski alpin and also ski jumping.

While banning german and austrian customers, who are mainly ski nations, betfair has dryn up the ski alpin and ski jumping markets.

Only if there are olympic games or world Championships these markets are profitable (perhaps). But every Soccer game is more.
