It is quite frustrating indeed that BF fail, time and again, to support the growing number of cycling betting customers. The very fact that other betting companies are beginning to open markets on cycling races throughout the year, for instance nearly all, if not all, World Tour races have been framed this year -- shows that cycling betting is growing as a real interest, and with BF having the benefit of a forum and therefore of a community to grow, one would think that taking the sport seriously as per the points made by the author of this thread -- would be of importance.
![]() I cannot agree more with the points under discussion in this thread, and plead with BF to be more thoughtful in their approach to framing cycling markets. Cheers, SP |

Absolute disgrace Betfair -
STILL no top 3 market no top 10 market no points jersey market ![]() ![]() These three omissions are embarrassing and show Betfair to be a two-bit, half-arsed, mickey mouse bookmaker. No top 3 market for stage 1. No each way bets allowed either. Why do they bother ffs? ![]() Just so poor... I have had all my bets on these markets with Bet £3.65 instead ![]() |

And the hits just keep on coming
Stage 2 turned in-play an hour early ![]() |

Who cares about the sportsbook, there are plenty of real sportsbooks around - to be honest the jokes on you if you're actually surprised the Betfair sportsbook is abysmal for cycling betting.
As for starting the stage early, the information for stage 2 was 9:05am at the start meeting point (with I believe a 9:35am official start)... it wasn't stated that this was GMT and not BST - so Betfair, and a number of bookies, were an hour early closing/starting their markets. Forgivable. If they're an hour early tomorrow, lay into them for sure. |

I'm not surprised about Betfair's inadequacy. But it doesn't mean I have to accept it. Frankly, I don't understand your point.
If no-one kicks up a fuss they will just carry on serving up the same old shyte. Why are you so happy to just accept their sub-standard mediocrity? "yeah it's crap, but what can you do?" Good attitude. Yes, the exchange is most important but at some point in this race I'm going to wanting to get some each way bets on some stage winners and its very much in my interest (and all of ours as punters) to have Betfair s/b as an option. Even today, when the sportsbook finally got up, Bouhanni was available at 13/2 here where he was 5/1 or 6/1 in many places and there was no liquidity in the top 3 market. |

I thought Betfair based their Sportsbook on the Exchange prices
![]() I've always thought it was for the simple minded that couldn't understand how to lay a bet and always offered less prices than the exchange with 5% commission? Added markets are a different matter but if there's no liquidity then it's silly spreading the cash further? I get your points but if there's no-one betting then there's no point running. I'll be watching today, I'm slightly hooked by the sport and never thought I'd enjoy it. Don't think I'll bet though, I know absolutely nothing about these riders. |

no the sb is completely separate. Prices generally (but not always) worse, but you can (or should be able to) bet each way so can be useful for sports like cycling for example, or golf.

No Moreno or Kelderman in the Stage 8 Sportsbook market. These two are as short as 18/1 and 12/1 elsewhere but you haven't put them in, despite the fact that they are two well known climbers and I emailed you about this at 22.00 last night.
Not good enough Betfair. |

I won the snooker competition on the snooker forum and got a £50 free sportsbook bet which I put on Uran at 18/1 £25ew. If that wins I will be expecting a similar email then.

Kelderman 3rd yesterday and wasn't in Betfair sportsbook market, despite me emailing them the night before.

Very disappointed to learn that these types of situations are continuing.

Cameron Meyer in the exchange market for Stage 9 despite having abandonded on Stage 8. This is not good enough - especially as the rules state "bets stand whether they run or not".
Take the abandonded riders out of the markets then ffs |
|
By:
Betfair are abandoning their roots. In the Exchange punters bet/lay their fancies but Betfair are so greedy they concentrate on Sportsbook. Actually they're not greedy- they're stupid as they could have the best of both if they were clever.
