Not going to back anything with Paddy. I do however like Leopold Konig at 100/1 the route looks like it really suits him.
The chances of Betfair having a market up looks slim. |

Market up! I won't say it's quite up and running yet, but its up.

Some interesting prices in the early market. Wiggins looks a steal to lay at around 10, I've also layed Chernetskiy at 60's as he'll need to be doing the grunt work.
If anyone wants to lay me Leo Konig at 100.. |

Great shout on Ulissi. Should be a decent trade at worst now.

Someone is backing outsiders at short prices. Just layed Riblon and (I)Izaguirre.

This market is not being managed well, and it's a pity because it holds some really good trading potential. The over-round has finally reached a somewhat normal %, but the liquidity is still quite poor. There's about seven there in the mix as single figures, but I don't really see much trading options.
CJ70 -- perhaps you're trading on another site, but on here it's more of a sit and hold proposition for when the music stops? ![]() Cheers, SP |

I'm laying rather than backing so the liquidity is less of an issue, it's more about picking up riders that I believe are being backed at the wrong prices.
What I've noticed is that where as the TdF was priced by fans the TdP seems to be copying book prices into the exchange. I haven't really played the cycling markets for a couple of years, so I'm not sure if this is normally the case for the week long races? |

Depends on the market compiler -- I think for this market and most like it, it is just a BF B0T (programme) -- and so it's easier to just copy and paste the Books and set the vectors against risk. Then someone comes in every few stages to adjust things. Only really the Tour gets a proper human trader, but the markets are often stifled by a lack of liquidity, either way. For instance, the Vuelta is nearing the Tour, although I didn't bet in 2012, but I haven't come across a good Giro. I would therefore say that only the Tour and the Vuelta are liquid. Good luck.

I remember trying to trade the TdP when Dan Martin won it, 2011? Had a nightmare that year with delayed pictures. Winners market was a decent crack during the TT, made a few shekels.
Great run by Pieter Weening, he was trading at 20's this morning and 14.5 up until the first time check. |
