BELLE Vue team boss Jason Attwood is backing their star signing, Slovenian Grand Prix man Matej Zagar, to be a top man in the Elite League this season.
The Rentruck Aces No 1, who has returned to the British racing scene after a three-year absence, leads the side in Monday night's home match against Peterborough at Kirkmanshulme Lane (7-30pm).
Attwood said: "He hadn't had much racing at the start of our season but he is looking better and better as he gets more laps under his belt. He had three wins in the win over Coventry last week when you could see he was getting dialled in to our track."
Belle Vue: M Zagar average 8.04, K Wolbert 5.40, M Zetterstrom 6.63, C Cook 5.52, A Mroczka 5.85, A Dryml (Captain) 4.58, K Nieminen 4.90.
Peterborough: K Bjerre (Captain) 8.18, R Fisher 5.27, N Kosciuch 5.50, L Sundstrom 7.87, K Larsen 6.57, P Hougaard 4.98, D North 3.47.
