The bookies might be massively overestimating Richie Porte's chances of winning Paris-Nice, France's second biggest stage race. Porte took the yellow jersey today on the mountain Queen stage, and the penultimate stage tomorrow will probably not effect the GC but Lieuwe Westra is only 40 secs down on Porte and he beat everyone except Wiggins on the mountain time trial up Col d'Eze last year. Westra beat Porte on this stage by 1min 42 last year, so the 40 second advantage Porte has doesn't seem enough to justify Westra bring priced up at a general 8/1 for the overall win. Small bet advised on Lieuwe Westra at 8/1.
He only needs to take 43 seconds off Porte. I've taken some 13 Westra on here, think its too big. Westra was the only person that got close to Wiggo last year, and the field was 30 seconds back.
Assuming Westra rides to the same level as 2012, then Porte has to finish in the top 4 on last year's times

Porte's well capable of doing that, but he's no Wiggins, and shouldnt be as short as he is.
This is no done deal. Westra is well capable of making up 40 seconds tomorrow.

Porte nails it, almost beat Wiggo's time from last year. Westra fell apart, looked in decent shape until today as well. Impressive by Diego Ulissi there S well.
