Hardly implausible for a rider of Contador's ability. He only beat Valverde and others by 6". Just that Purito had a bad day - leaving aside Contador, Purito down 2'30" on Valverde.

Surely the point is the only GC contender that got near him was fellow cheat Valverde.
He says after the stage he's not in great form but pumps massive amounts of time into everyone else on GC. Very impressive ![]() |

Don't talk bollax my only red was Rodriguez so what has happened made me money but I can still have an opinion on what I see right in front of my eyes.
I wouldn't trust Rodriguez performances either. |

The pattern of performance for a rider coming underdone (such as Contador) into a 3-week tour is often - 1st week: ordinary, 2nd week: worse, 3rd week: peak. To me, that is the explanation for Contador's better performance yesterday.

It's alright getting it wrong. We all do.
It's something different being a know all bell end however. Imo. |

I just can't believe the race unfolded like that. What on earth were Katusha doing? There's not enough money in the market for this to be a betting fix.

lucy(UN)lucky - you clearly know nothing about cycling. Your comments back this up. As stated many times on here, Purito was taking blow after blow after blow after blow from Contador and it told. Boy did it tell. Contador has been getting better and better throughout this Tour. Purito has sprinted away from Contador at the end of mountain stages after sitting on his tail and reacting to Contador's attacks. But in the last mountain stage he was unable to sprint away from Contador. That was a very big sign.
Contador is a brilliant rider and yesterday was another example of it. He was out on his feet at the the end at Valverde was reeling him in. We are seeing a Champion returning to somewhere near his best. And when Contador is at his best, he is unbeatable. Now lucy(un)lucky you have been berating anyone who thought Contador would win this Vuelta. You have been rude and aggressive. Show some manners and apologise and admit, along with Denis, that you are an epic mug ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What a surprise, Denis Beaten-Dogg can't manage a proper apology. After strutting about as the playground bully abusing who he calls Lay Davis all through the Vuelta he got a good kicking yesterday. You're a busted flush Denis.

The truth is Contador is a proven drug cheat, that is a fact. His team boss is going to be thrown out of the sport in the next few months with any luck.I have no problem with people making money by backing this man but to believe he or his team to be clean of drugs is naive in the extreme.
