Should be a cracker. Going to be very interesting. When is Froome going to attack? Will be interesting if he has the legs. I will be surprised if Contador doesn't win today's Stage. He is getting better and better
AC failed to finish ahead of Rod in a mtn top stage finish so far. Wasting his energy with all the ineffective attacking. Will keep the AC red for now. We shall see.

deary me clay, is there no end to yr idiocy? 'Will be interesting if he has the legs.'???? Anyone can see (except you) that he doesnt have the legs. and in what way is contador 'getting better and better'?? he started off getting beaten by rodriguez and nothing's changed.

only wish i'd been betting in running on the stage win. see contador was traded for loads at 1.06. obvious that purito had a ton in hand and was just taking his time

Denis, you clearly know nothing about cycling. You prove it time and time again.
Today's stage was everything that the TDF wasn't. I thought Purito was excellent today and didn't panic. But Contador is getting better and better. He is riding for time instead of riding to win stages.
This is a cracking contest and I'm thoroughly enjoying it

Stop the insults. I realise the time bonus. But as I said he hasn't seen Purito as a serious rival. It's been all about Froome in his interviews. He tried, and failed, to win today's stage

I got very interested in Purito after the time trial. He looked great on the short steep climbs last year but has improved all round in the interim. Contador was all out today, nearly falling off the bike at one point. If Katusha can keep delivering Purito with 2km to go it's in the bag. Compare and contrast Purito's tactical nous with that of Froome. No contest.

LayDavis is hilarious. I thought he was a mad unemployed Spaniard punting his last five euros on bertie but it appears he's English. Wouldn't you love to be £3k green on Purito? I love throwing my money away.

i wouldn't say 'tactics' have much to do with it. it is quite clear that froome is running on fumes and only his bravery and class is keeping him this close. purito simply has a ton in hand and its easy to get yr 'tactics' right when that's the case

I wasn't attempting to say Froome has lost out due to tactics. He's clearly nowhere near as strong as the Spaniards in this race. I was looking more to the future and was referring to his pointless lead out of Swift last week, his badly timed attack two days ago and his simpleton attacks of Cobo at the end of last year's race. There is mounting evidence that Froome is a follower not a leader. When Froome was busy emptying himself on Friday, Rodriguez was riding a very measured race. Froome has the excuse of his earlier exertions this year, and having to play second fiddle to Wiggins last year of course, but I will be avoiding him in future grand tours.
