http://www.letour.fr/indexCDD_us.html Dauphine home page of Le Tour website.

No prices available anywhere yet, amazingly. Some top quality looking rosters http://www.letour.fr/2012/CDD/RIDERS/us/engages.html , and all the big names involved as a warm up for the tour.

Wiggo is going to be favourite with a 53.5k TT and having won it last year. Interested to see how Rolland performs in the TT. He and Nibali could be the dark horses for the Tour if they perform in the Dauphine, and without having seen prices yet I am tempted to have a look at those two for this.

Saturday's stage 6 looks like it could also crucial, with 2x C1 climbs and finishing with a HC climb and the descent.

Done Nibali at 16/1 & Rolland at 50/1.

Schleck at 50/1 is an eyecatching price, as is Cobo at 150/1.

Today's prologue is about the only flat bit in the whole race. Rain is forecast from about 12-2 and from 3 onwards, so like last year, it could all be about the luck of the draw. Westra goes off first and Wiggins goes off last, so its quite likely the conditions will be completely different for each of them. Looking at the prices, Degenkolb at 33/1 and Vinoukorov at 80/1 look a bit big, considering they were 4th and 2nd in this respectively last year. Durbridge has a lot of pedigree as a time triallist and could go pretty well, but is short enough at 14s. One of the time triallists will probably take the stage down, but I wouldnt be backing Wiggo or Martin at short prices until I'd seen the conditions though.

First away is Westra, at 10.40 am UK time. The rain isnt expected until 11.00 UK time, so every chance Westra and Degenkolb could get the best of the conditions. Other contenders go off at (CET). Big disadvantage for Miller, Wiggo and the other late starters if the rain is as forecast.

Westra 11.40
Degenkolb 11.41
Evans 11.59
Boassen Hagen 12.00
Durbridge 12.05
Vinokourov 12.20
Van Garderen 12.21
Rogers 12.22
Martin 12.28
Porte 2.12
Miller 2.22
Wiggins 2.34

Nibali one of the first dropped over 20km out. **** market though, currently 256% round and Schleck quoted at 10/1 and he isn't even racing ffs. This is only for mugs.
