Cheers for the link Razz, good watch...agree with your selections, probably add Kingsbury and Velasquez...cant believe how short JDS is even for a K.O.

UFC Primetime: Dos Santos vs. Mir - Episode 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZtSwI3iwiE&list=PL4A16E10D0A753D77&index=12&feature=plpp_video JDS is the man, he's really giving back to the community he came from yeah 1.4 is really low for JDS by ko but i guess its justified, a better bet might be for the fight to end in the 1st round at evens with paddypower. thinking of going with volkman too but his oods haven't been released yet. looking forward too texeira making his debut at last, he was supposed to be in the ufc years ago. might also go with nelson, if he can get it to the ground it should be game over for herman. im staying well away from the struve/lavar johnson fight though that could go either way, probably a ko by johnson or a sub/tko by struve. staying away from hardy and ludwig as well. duane probably has better stand up but i'd say hardy has the edge on the ground (you cant say that very often) |
By:
if Lavar is ready i make him a great shout, cant believe struve is fave!!! He is getting KTFO. I dont come on here that pften anymore but that price made me sit up and take notice!
JDS CAin Lavar Ludwig Volkmann Not betting on all them they are just my picks, really hope im wrong regarding the English guys, would love to see Volkmann get sassangled!! |
By:
yeah if it stays standing i can see struve being more technical and landing more shots, and a lot of kicks but lavar will connect eventually and that could be fight over... but if struve tries to take it to the ground like barry did he'll win easily
By:
i see Lavar walking through his punches and smashing him, pretty early too. I dont doubt that Struve will win if he gets him down with a decent amount of time left but untill Struve learns to use his range better i think he is going to get blasted time and time again by elite strikers. I reallu like Struve,he always brings it and goes for finishes and has a great heart but he lets people get inside to easy,JDS and Nelson despached him with ease and he was lucky against a toilet of a fighter in morecraft not to mention the nasty ko he recieved by Brown, that said he did impress me against Herman. Will be an interesting fight to watch and ill defo be going with my instinct, with 2 KO of the night vicories in his first 2 fights in the ufc ill be hoping for another.
This card looks like one of the best ive seen, top fights all the way through, really hoping volkmann gets a sassectomy! How do you see mayhem and dolloway going Razz? |

my bets for this event are
hardy mayhem del rosario struve teixeira reasoning behind them hardy : just think he has to win, despite the ko vs condit he's proven hes got a chin and has decent power himself. whilst ludwig has the edge in striking technically his chin isnt the best. also feel that hardy does have the edge on the ground over bang and as such feel he's got the tools to get his first win in the octagon in a while. mayhem : looked terrible versus bisping where i thought he'd give him some trouble if he got the fight to the ground. his gas tank looked shocking vs mb and he did not deserve to be in the same cage as him last time out. mayhem has fought world class opposition throughout his career and believe this experience factor could be key over cb. the nagging worry i have about this fight is millers cardio and his striking. if hes unable to get this to the ground then cb will point his way to a unanimous decision but i think he'll get the fight to the mat and hopefully dolloway clearly taps this time. del rosario : after seeing a couple of his fights in strikeforce i was excited by the prospect of sdr. hes had a lengthy layoff but isnt coming in against an opponent imo as skilled as he was initially set to face. iv not been all that impressed with miocic in his appearances in the ufc and despite being highly touted he's not shown me enough to say that he can hang with sdr's striking nor submissions. struve : this really is a pick'em fight tbh but i was really impressed with struve when he fought dave herman. he finally started to use his range a little more. obviously lavar packs a punch and struve's chin is questionable. what isnt though is struves heart and feel he'l drag this to the ground and from there it'll be over. if pat barry can get mount on lavar then if his chin holds out struve definitely can. teixeira : iv seen this guy fight relatively low level competetion; he beat sokodjou shortly before his ko's over arona and lil nog. the low level competition im talking about is imo on a similar level to kingsbury. whilst i think teixeira's power could be enough to stop this fight i think after seeing the domination from bonnar over kingsbury a similar tactic would bot surprise me either. |

To much danger when betting heavily on the heavyweight division,i will just be looking for a special on non of the heavyweight fights to go the distance, just for added interest, but will probably talk myself into backing Antonio Silva also
By:
i think mayhem will edge it, he has more experience, he's been in 5 rounders before so im not exactly sure what caused his stamina to look so bad in the bisping fight. maybe it was nerves or an underlying illnes or injury?
yeah i wasnt impressed by miocic, he nearly got knocked out by phil defries, who looked like one of the least athletic fighters i have ever seen. |

i would love it if sass subs volkmaan i can't stand his boringness, and he seems proud of it
By:
i like sass's fighting style but if he cant get it to the ground he doesn't stand a chance. even if he does, volkman's wrestling could still neutrilize sass's jiu jitsu
By:
yeah volkmann's top control will more than likely be too good but you never know! Sass will defo try pulling guard,id go crazy if he pulled guard and subbed the boring mofo
By:
i know i think volkman will win he is good at what he does just boring, sass always finds away to win tho this may be to much for him tho because his only hope is to get a sub
By:
for those wonderin g about mayhem's conditioning i just watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EEyNPkFzlxQ
he talks about it a bit, and looks to of made improvements |
By:
im not really concerned about his cardio,he went 5 rounds with shields just before he came into the ufc and looked fine, more concerned about his stand up,dont rate it at all, throws to many wreckless looping punches imo
By:
ye mayhem does look in great shape, i just can't back him after that fight with bisping.
By:
every interview i have seen jds has said his prediction is he is going to knock mir out in round 2, i personally think he will knock him out in round 1, i will have some money on round 2 tho just incase he has told all his poor brazillian mates to bet on him round 2.
By:
mayhems punches aren't the best, but he has decent kicks, and is really strong for his size. his ground game is pretty high level too, he took jake shields back and sank in a rear naked choke with like 15 seconds to go in the round, shields was saved by the bell there, mayhem would of put him to sleep if there were 5 more seconds in that round. and jake sheilds has some of the best jiu jitsu in mma.
By:
i dont for 1 minute doubt his bjj skills
By:
he also has what he and his training partners refer too as retard steength

By:
does anyone know why hardy hasn't been cut from the ufc, i thought the rule of thumb was 3 losses in a row
By:
that isnt a rule. Lorenzo loves him cos he entertains and brings it every fight. Had a load of tough fights in a row too.
By:
he has a close friendship with the fertita brothers i think, and yeah he's an exciting fighter, and look at who he has lost too!! GSP, anthony johnso who looked 2 weight classes bigger, carlos condit the interim champion and chris lytle
By:
