Im going (with my head)
Bones (Submission) Schaub (KO/TKO) R Macdonald (DEC) Torres (DEC) Bocek (KO/TKO) But for value who thinks laying Jones KO/TKO @ 5/4 is a good lay? |
By:
going with Jones outright, the added rivalry to me wouldn't make for a good lay of Jones by tko. I see Jones winning inside the distance. the price on him subbing Jones looks good though, I'll put a small bet on that.
I think Schaub will win but no way am I backing him at that price, mark hunt couldn't finish rothwell so I don't see value in Schaub finishing him, rothwell gassed badly in his last fight but that was at really high altitude, and he's really tough. and has a huge experience advantage over schaub, although schaub is improving a lot with each fight. evens just doesn't seem high enough considering. |

that prick jones needs teaching a lesson and Suga is the man to deliver it
By:
mcdonald to beat mills at 1/4 is an absolute banker, Rory is a real prospect and will destroy mills.

Can't wait for Suga v Jones. Would love to see Shad take him but just can't see anyone beating Jones, the legend will grow come the weekend.
By:
have the faith in Rashad,he can deliver take down after take down and stop jones from getting started *crosses his fingers and preys*
![]() aint putting a penny on,but really hope he beats him and rory is a future champion without doubt,he could have improved a ton since coming back from injury, cant wait to see him |

was interested in watching the preliminary fights, there looks to be a couple of interesting ones. was just wondering what time they start as i cant find it anywhere and where you find this info out (to save me asking for future events)?

i'll try to find out tomorrow and post it in the afternoon sometime.

managed to get some 1.26 on jones, im kind of surprised he isnt sub 1.2 now, considering they share common opponents in rampage and machida who jones finished easily, and rashad got k.o'd by machida and won a tight victory over rampage who could of done better.

i believe the facebook show starts at 11:15pm uk time and the prelims on fx and ufc tv straight after them, followed by the espn show at 3am

Had a little play on Rashad....just at the odds.
Mayday to beat Torres at odds against worth it... |
By:
Nice to see that Ben Rothwell has actually done something about his weight and his cardio after becoming a laughing stock after his pathetic display against Hunt last time out, where he was laying on the floor exhausted from the 2nd round onwards, could not believe how good he looked at the weigh in,wont stop him getting KO'd tonight tho
By:
just watched ufc primetime, was pretty good http://www.mma-core.com/videos/tv/UFC_145_Primetime_Episode_1_Part_1/10028086
documents jones and rashad leading up to the fight and how their rivalry started. |
By:
yeah rothwell looked really good at the weigh ins

steven thompson 4/11 looks another banker for me he is one of the best kickboxers in the ufc, he might struggle one day against strong wrestlers, i don't think he will have that prob against matt brown.
From what i have seen maximo blanco is a beast an i think he will take out marcus brimage. |
By:
yeah thompson could be a god bet, he looked good in his debut and matt brown seems like a tailor made opponent for him. the ufc is probably trying to build him up after that awesome KO Against stitgen, that was one of my favourite ko's of the year.

Ive seen a video from a year ago of Rashad saying he wanted to fight Jones, and now he's saying Jones has "broken the pact" by pulling him aside and explaining to him how he wants to muller him..... I had respect for Rashad before this, and thought he was a genuine and really likeable type, but it appears he's a lying fcker.
By:
I like the way Rashad has been playing it, though. I haven't heard him once state he'll win or big his chances up beyond hinting what tactics would be best against Jones's style. He's clearly letting Jones heap all the pressure on himself in hope of it burning him out. It may well be his only chance... I can't see it though. Rashad will try his best to counter Jones' kicks by the sound of it, and "make him pay" at least, when he kicks
By:
Unlike Rampage, who stood and admired Jones' creativity without trying to get inside and land anything. He's definitely seen what NOT to do.
By:
think the first prelim starts at 12
By:
the facebook stream says it starts at 8pm, i guess that's american, so wouldn't that make it 1 a.m before the prelims start?!!!!
By:
it said on ufc site 7pm, ye if its 8pm it would make it 1am just going to have to check at 12
By:
the prelim markets have closed which means betfair have no idea when they are starting as usual.
By:
the facebook stream says the fights will begin shortly
By:
looks like its starting on facebook in the next couple of mins
By:
and here we go!
By:
ive got blanco here in my accum i like brimage tho he was funny on the tuf
By:
ye i think blanco will win, but no bet, i know i've seen brimage fight on tuf but i cant remember much about him, have vague memories of him being pretty strong. will be interesting to see how blanco handles his debut.
By:
that was hilariousss
By:
haha, that was awesome
![]() |
By:
id give the last 2 rounds to blanco
By:
really close though, not surprising that brimage got it, guess the judges based it on number of strikes
By:
gutted accum over first fight last time i pick someone based on watching there youtube vids, have to hope on my big double of r mcdonald and thompson.
By:
i probably would of bet on blanco if it wasn't his debut, he can do better than that, brimage did really well though
By:
good fight this
By:
yeah, Wisniewski has got one hell of a chin
