the UFC returns to the land of the rising sun for the first time in 12 years. i wasn't entirely convinced about the lack of big pride names on the card, but there are some really good match up's that they've added, and also some pretty good bets to be had here

Pettis vs Lauzon...fight!!!
will take Henderson to keep the pressure on Frankie all the way through and take a pts win. |
By:
im going with pettis and rampage for my main bets, i dont see what bader can do to win, rampage has a big advantage standing up, and i can't see bader being able to take him down. pettis, also has an advantage on the feet over lauzon, and i think he has good enough bjj to thwart lauzon's offence should it go to the ground. but pettis's wrestling should be able to stop that from happening, i cna imagine pettis being extremely motivated for this fight especially as ben henderson is fighting for the title, who he has already beaten and should of gotten a title shot because of it.
im thinking of putting a bit on palaszewski, he looked great in his last fight, with a spectacular k.o of tyson griffin |

looking forward to the hunt kongo fight, if that stays on the feet im looking forward to a nostalgic KO from the super Samoan! hopefully kongo doesnt elect for his shrt grabbing techniques again.
I think Jake shields is a bit short at 1.35ish, sexyyama should have a speed, power and striking advantage, my only worry is about his cardio, im hoping he should have more energy for his debut at welterweight as he's fighting people more his own size now. shields doesn't have the best takedowns, but if he manages to wear akiyama down enough to get the fight to the ground, i see him grinding out the decision. I don't know much about gomi's opponent, but from what i hear he's got pretty good bjj, and gomi's weakness has always been submissions. frankie and benson could well live up to a 5 round war, and strong fight of the night favourite too, i can't make my mind up about this one, i keep changing my mind, i think henderson will have a pretty good gameplan for this, i reckon he will look to utilise a lot of kicks and might outmuscle edgar in the clinch and on the ground...if he can catch frankie, who will use his great footwork and speed to try and pick henderson appart. if frankie manages to take henderson down, i can't see him holding him there, and we can pretty much rule out frankie by sub. both guys have incredible stamina as well so i can see a very fast paced fight. haven't been looking forward to a title fight as much as this one in a long time ![]() who's everyone else going for? ![]() |

Rampage misses weight (211lb)
By:
all that walking around with Helwani obviously didnt help then...
By:
good interview on mma fighting if you missed it.
By:
yeah trying to watch it now in between bets, pretty cool so far
By:
really good interview, and quite insightful into rampage's mind and attitude to fighting

im wondering why rampage's price is drifting so much considering he didn't have to cut as much weight as normal, and he said his injury had pretty much completely healed
By:
I remember a TUF episode where one of BJ Penn's boys didn't make weight, Dana went ballistic. Don't think Rampage will be receiving any favors anytime soon.

tiequan zhang just got knocked out really badly in the facebook prelim,
the rest of the prelims about to start on ufc.tv |

Good luck later boys, im going for K.O's for both Rampage and Pettis and fancy Henderson to get the job done in the big one, he has really impressed me since he came to the UFC, hes got all the skillz and while Edgar is a great wrestler and very durable i think Hendo might find a way to hurt him and hopefully not let him off the hook, Edgar is an animal and has a great heart but i think Henderson is a natural and wont let this chance slip through his fingers, should be a very close fight...im fallin asleep tho, wish it was on earlier!

yeah, it's going to be a long night

wow shocking decision for cariaso, mizugaki got robbed
By:
worst decison i've seen in a long time, mizugaki clearly won rounds 1 and 2. the 3rd was close too
By:
I'm hardly surprised by joke decisions any more. I can't see how Mizugaki didn't win 1 and 2. Cariso was winning 3 until he slipped, didn't look like a TD so hard to score that round. At most I though one idiot may have split it for Mizugaki but 29-28 UD is crazy.
By:
i actually think, that's a weird enough score that they might of got the scorecards mixed up
By:
fukuda looked pretty good there

By:
