great ITT, to take 2.30min out of yellow and win by 1.30min shows he the best rider of 2011 tour de france
|
|
By:
Well he won the race so hard to argue, but some might say that he is the best time trialist for sure out of the main contenders, but not the best climber.Which not getting yellow before the TT implies.

|
By:
Who cares he certainly won't,great effort well deserved.

He went up the Alps on his own no help from anybody drag frank and others up and still have the strength to beat andy by more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds what else could this MAN do???

Looking back over the earlier threads throughout the Tour, the ITT was always talked about as a major influencing factor on the winner of the race, and that was authenticated by today and coming out of the Alpinian stages. So, he got Yellow when it counted, for a smooth ride into Paris tomorrow.

Important to not overlook his preparation, he knew he would need to know the ITT lay out by targeting the Dauphine in the weeks prior to the Tour. Worked as a good advantage, even though he didn't ride in Yellow.
