shown nothing this tour to merit being such a short-priced fav for this stage. yes he's put in a few attacks as he had to after losing time early doors but they've all been comfortably dealt with by the major contenders. expect this stage to be won again by a low down GC climber. Gesink fits the bill if he has recovered sufficiently from injuries.

The thing to consider about Contador is that the battle is lees important than the war. I think it was last year he won the tour without winning a stage. If someone works with him on an attack he will more than likely let that person take the stage win. His price today is one for the layers.

Same as on the Tourmalet last year. One of the rare occasions in sport where gifts are so open and not frowned upon...always betting beware on such stages.
