I'm pushed for time too, just off for a burger!

Interesting to note that Sylvain Chavanel is at the top of the market at 14/1, suggesting Quick Step have come out with a statement to the media that they want him in the breakaway, which this stage is favouring ahead of the Alps. We could find that if Thor were to get into the breakaway he might be too strong again.

Cheers,
SP

I would like to see Geraint Thomas given the chance to go for a stage win rather than protecting Uran's white jersey. I think he surprised himself with his attack on the Pyrenees stage as his climbing was good until the finishing climb. Today's category 1 should pose no problems. Sky seem to be looking for a stage win, narrowly failed yesterday, and this is probably their last opportunity.

@red and white

I think Simon Gerrans from Australia would be my preferance from team Sky. They're both pretty close in the market so not much suggesting which one will be ordered into the attack, using that as a basis. If Geraint has other duties as you assert, it would be Gerrans who would have free reign to get into the breakaway, perhaps. Nevertheless, I'm surprised you're not returning to your well for another drink with Thor. Hehe.

Cheers,
SP

with this break likely stay out, not much chasing and no threats so i fancy casar at 7.2 or chavanel 6.8 to bring home a french win.

Whoever wants to win will have to drop EBH on the climb
Report bb66 July 20, 2011 3:31 PM BST
this is a great opportunity to attack immediately when the ascent begins, who will try first from the GC contenders?

I was thinking that as well. The changes made to the points competitions have been good too.

The future for Sky looks absolutely golden at the moment.
I can't emphasise how much I hope they don't sign Cavendish.
Would love to see Roche sign up but not sure if he would want to play second fiddle to Wiggins.
Not sure Uran will want to after this season.
Intrigued to see the line up for the Vuelta.
