dover to southampton(along the coast )we ve got cavendish 19 stage wins,we used to never have a cyclist,when it came to england,we had one rider sean kelly or something like that,he was a water carrier for one of the teams,the stage actually went past his mum and dads house so the peleton let him go ahead so he could stop outside his house with is mum and dad,he once wore yellow for 1 night.

yep ,he fluked a yellow for 1 day,broke away in a 6 and when times added up scraped to yellow by seconds .

that was pretty much the high point of english riders in the tour for best part of 20 years.

The tour came to England a couple of years ago, starting in London and then going down into Kent!!!!
