I thought Contador made a huge error of judgement yesterday chasing down the Schleck's one-two punches. Surely when Frank attacks Contador should just let him go and let the others chase him as Evans, Basso, Vochler et al would have to react.
I understand Contador cashing Andy Schleck down but I still think he should sit and wait and let others do the donkey work for him.
If he does, I can see Contador attacking and taking advantage of the work others have to put in.
Contador is not leading the Tour but he rode yesterday like he was.

Nothing to do with tactics, he just hasn't got it this year, amazed if he gets on the podium in Paris
I can't see him breaking away up the climbs in the way all the recent winners including himself were able to do, the other riders know it now also, the game is up for Contador

Can't see him outside top 3 MST think evans will have a stinker one day and lose big time there again. Can't see where Contador will get the time back unless he gets away with one of the Schlecks preferably Frank to give him a chance in the final TT.Will be interesting to see how the Schlecks play this.

I was a supporter of Bertie, thinking he just won't lose such great climbing ability in such a short space of time, but now I'm convinced he has in fact lost it. Yes, he was tired out by doing the donkey work in fighting a dual team, but he had to be the one closing down the attacks as he was the worst placed rider of the four principals including the Schlecks and Evans, of the elite pack on the 12th stage. Could you honestly see anyone else dancing up on their pedals to close down the gaps forming, either than him? So, he had to ride like he was leading because if he wasn't rolling with the punches, he we would be punched-out overall. And in my view, it does look like it's lights out, even though he's more bruised than crippled. I can't have him now, he looks damaged goods.

Everyone except Andy had no excuse for not chasing down Frank S. - they didn't have the legs.

The biggest problem the brothers have might be a reluctance to attack if it damages the other's chances.

Write off Contador at your pearl. If he survives tomorrow, with a flat stage and a rest day to follow, he will destroy them in the alps when he is feeling better

IMO Cadel would deserve a TdF win in his palmares, best chance ever this year for him as he can take 2' off both Schlecks in ITT and AC lacking some drugs obviously.

Wiggins would've had a huge chance this year imo - he would have killed the schlecks in the ITT also

hard to argue, imo Wiggins would have lost some more minutes in the mountains than Cadel to expect (how often has the winner of the Dauphine underperformed in the Tour peaking his form to early?).

Giro was hard this year ,almost impossible to get form for that then now the tour . Cant see the Shlecks burning people of think they will just stick to the front and grind away their competitors .
Hopefully someone will come and take it ....Basso (value bet pretour)was as done nothing this year , is he going unleash a big day or it it lack of form....we will found out soon.

Best tour for years so far
