A proper sprinter's stage this one, no climbs of any note, although there will be 1 climbing point avilable for going over the 281m Côte de Gurunhuel by the stage starts at an altitude of around 130m anyways. I really fancy Cav today, the HTC train will have had a good chat to work out the problems of stage 2(going flat out from abut 12km was just suicidal) and Cav did very well to finish 5th after being brought to a virtual standstill. Decent sized wager on the Manxman for me. Gl all
Crosswinds , tailwinds , splits in peleton likely. Added to all that a twisty turney finish with a very sharp bend 150/200 mts from the finish = chaos imo. Agree cav impressive to get so close after nearly being knocked off by feillu other day. Evens is short enough all things considered . feillu quoted as saying wouldn't hesitate to block cav in again and I'm sure some of the other teams lead out men would do the same Having said all that cav will probably bolt in. My 3 for today Galimzyanov @36s Ebh @60s Boonen @85s

Do you think Cav is hard done to on the tour? Obviously he is a marked man, no shocks there but seems like anytime he or his time try to hold their ground they are punished.

Let's hope we get some echelons today - maybe after the feed zone looking at the forecasts
Farrar at 5.1 makes a lot more appeal to me than Cav at 2.1
I think Cav has the form to win but HTC looked lost on Monday and today's finish is much more technically demanding. Renshaw doesn't look sharp and Goss doesn't have a lot of experience. I'd rather be following Millar, Hushovd and Dean in this finish

Cav asks for trouble so he can't complain and never sees anything wrong with his team, the Sky documentary shows his amazing arrogance.Wouldn't back him with today's finish.

Really hoping for a split peleton when the turn south at Erquy...with BMC [Hincapie] & Leopard [Spartacus] driving it away from SAXO....with the win going to the fastest man strong enough to stick in there.
Thor ?

cav showing a complete lack of proffessionalism. If he seriously wants that green jersey he still doesnt seem to have got his head round whats required. easing off & flayling hands in air prior to intermediate sprint line, could have done those histrionics after the line.

you have to say cavendish is simply magnificent. to finish 5th yesterday after getting badly baulked 1km out and today to win on an uphill finish and to do it without renshaw etc, hats off to cavendish

I watched it on Eurosport and never had a moments doubt that the HTC rider coming wide was Cavendish, he has such a distinguished riding style. Poor show from Harmon, really poor. I get the feeling I got away with this one a little bit, hadn't really taken any notice of the little incline at the end, won't be making that mistake again. Feel a little for the 50's layer but feel more upset I wasn't sat infront of the comp at the time.
