Makes for interesting reading.
Is the game itself any good, or have they stayed true to form and effectively released an untested beta, and intend to iron out the creases as and when people moan about them? |

Thanks for the reply. I bought one of the very early ones (Cycling Manager 2, I think) and the two most recent ones.
Somewhat brilliantly, they tend to seem to make the game just about playable in career mode just about as the Vuelta finishes, the season is drawing to a close and interest in the sport is waning. They always seem to throw everything at the graphics, and treat everything else as an afterthought. In my opinion they'd be better off with a soft launch before the Giro. Loyalists could then give feedback on the various bugs, which Cyanide could then do their best to fix before a fully-marketed official launch just prior to the Tour. God knows what the console versions are like. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. |
