Bwin giving great odds on handicap betting during event, just done a treble paying just over 12/1, chestney, lester and stone - all just need to win 1 set in the game to win. Be having a single on Lester on wed am when he plays Ross, 7/1 available, he qualified for this event in Australia which is tough and should probably be about a 6/4 chance to win game outright, never mind 11/5 just to win a set. Good luck.

In today's game Brett Arkley was 1 set to nil up against Billy jackson, the score was 7-5 in the 2nd set after 7 ends to Billy and Brett was holding 1 with last bowl to play, Why did he play it? If he took the one he would 7-6 down needing just a single shot to tie the set and win, if he played it and made 2, he would need a single shot to win the set, instead he played the last bowl moved the jack and went into the last end needing a three for a tie, which he failed so had to go into the tie break.

Missed that end m8, but going by what u say, there was no point playing last bowl unless he had a chance to score a minimum of 3, as u say if he scored a 1 or 2 2nd last end, would still need to score last end.

Chestney beat but gets the half set u need in hcap bet, Stone wins, so just Lester to get 1/2 a set 2morrow 4 nice wee treble. Betfred giving 100/30 on Lester =1.5 sets, brilliant value bet.

9.30am saturday Forrest v Stavrou. Forrest a massive value bet at 14/5 with bwin - played brilliant in mixed pairs ystrday and if reproducing that form will defo take the beating, 5/6 the pair is how id price match up. Burnett, Marshall, Foster, Brett all look good favs in the last 16 starting monday. Foster outright at 6/1 now is the pick 4 the title, in the easier half of the draw, should make final. Last 32 G Kelly in hcap betting +1.5 sets at 3/1 is also worth a look. Gd luck.

Looking like a good call on Forrest, Bongo.

Shame there's naff all liquidity on here, especially as it's on bf live vid.  But I suppose if they can't even be bothered to show it as in play on the sports homepage, it's to be expected.

Yes, she won easy, 2-0 in sets. Totally agree, bet her with bwin in single and double with gary kelly +1.5 sets at 3/1, monday morning.

Burnett went 11/8 ater he lost 1st set, had a big punt on him then and he won on tie break. Put some of winnings on merrien/skelton at 6/5, behind all the way, sneaked the 2nd set on last bowl and won tie break. Royal v Brett 2nite, very evenly matched but Brett is the bet at about 6/5. Foster and Harlow should both win their games 2morrow, double pays about even money, both on top form.

Liquidity very poor on here but can get a decent bet in play with fred or b365. Very often they have differing opinions so (imho) often value to be had.

you don't often hear those words in the same sentence Shocked

Anyway the big question today is will price turn up half p1ssed and start bowling off the rink again?
By:
TheBongoMan
When: 19 Jan 11 11:20
Price will have to be on top form to live with harlow. Harlow been awesome last few games, should be an easy 2-0 win, same goes for foster 2nite, 2-0 win.

for me there is less between the top 16 players at bowls than any other sport.it often pays to oppose the jollies although i do think harlow will be hard to get beat today.i do think that foster is opposeable on price though 30/100 looks very short as ross although not one of my favorite players is not without chance in this.
By:

This is true, about 11 or 12 of top 16 can beat each other, very little to choose between them, but as u say harlow should win today, and foster is a class above ross and should also win easily.

agree with scarecrow here - think foster is definitely opposable.

he's 1.3 now, what's he going to be if he wins the first set?
By:
TheBongoMan
When: 19 Jan 11 13:57
Still think he'll win relatively easy, will prob go 1/10 or worse if he gets set 1.

early signs will be crucial
I have a colour chart relating the redness of fosters face to his likelihood of winning
has proved very profitable over the years

Lol!!Harlow very consistent, price gets the odd one or two near but best days are behind him. Foster to win for my double, pays 8/11. Anyone any fancy in next match, packwood or murphy? Both 5/6, going for the more experienced murphy.

curly im tempted to lay marshall in the morning as well pre off.at one time he was almost unbeatable here at this venue but those days have gone imho,i think stone is a bookdealer semi pro bowler i have seen him before and he is capable on his day.
