Benji Raich - G Razzoli
Raich 1,91 £50 in a H2H at William Hill. Rare H2H Max Bet (see my % at other thread) Benji is normally more stable and same capacity more or less. Razzioli been injured and not fully fit and dont expect to hit peak in some time. This is a bet that wins around 2/3 times in todays circumstances. /Saslokk |

5/15 not finishing the 1st run, including both Raich and Razzoli, so money back there.
Zurbriggen stable run, can so much more, lays 4th currently. Myhrer 3rd and half a second away from the leader Grange. Perhaps some late starter might change things, but probably this is what it will be before the 2nd run. Both bets can still be winners, lets hope for a good 2nd run ![]() |

Zurbriggen finished 6th.
Myhrer 2nd ![]() Grange was the best skier on the day, hopefully nex time around it will be payout instead of close-to-payout. /Saslokk |

Men's Downhill Lake Louise 27/11
Svindal Top 3 2/1 William Hill £20 The big Norwegian was fastets in the first training run and 4th in the second one. He seems to be hot this season and is likely to challenge for the win today. However, he does not win downhills for fun, its a pretty stiff competition he is facing, but I find value for him to finish with a podium finish. Women's Giant Slalom Aspem 27/11 Federica Brignone 30/1 Paddy Power £10 The young Italian burst on to the scene last season and looked like the new star. Then she lost her form in the latter part of the season. She looked on her way back in the opening Giant Slalom in Soelden and I have a sneaky feeling that she soon will be challening for a win, and in this hill last year, she was 3rd, having had the fastest run in the 2nd leg. Some bookies have 15/1 and I will have a go at 30/1. Lena Duerr 29/1 BWin Top 3 , £10 Speculative bet. But this youngster caught my eye in the opener and had the fastest run in the 2nd leg, finishing 14th. Having said that, the slope favoured early starters in both legs, but nevertheless, she is a huge talent. She won the Total in the European Cup last season, finished 2nd in the Giant Slalom standings there. With a lot of more established names still with a lot to prove, Duerr can be a big surprise tonight and at 29/1 I will have a go at a Top 3 place. Women's Slalom 28/11 Aspen Lindsey Vonn 25/1 £20 William Hill, Paddy, BWin, Stan James A year ago, coming to this hill, she was 5/2 with the bookies to win the slalom. Then she just lost her form totally in the discipline for most of the season. Two weekends ago at Levi she showed her old form again and only a huge mistake in the 2nd run kept her from winning the race. This has somehow and very strangely got unnoticed from the bookmakers. 25/1 is the best bet so far this season from me. Dont miss it. Veronica Zuzulova Top 3 £20 14/1 Bwin Used to be ranked Top 5 in the slalom for a long time. Now on her way back and was really fast in Levi at parts in the runs. Finished last season with some impressive wins in the European Cup, winning with huge margins. Despite the fact she will have a high starting number, I would not count her out at all. Also a must bet, 12/1 available for those with account at William Hill is also value. Good Luck if you follow. /Saslokk |

Svindal joint 2nd with Scheiber in the race (if no late runners pull out a big result), so looks like a win.
Giant Slalom Women not close, as it looks after the 1st run. £40 invested for the day and £60 returned. |
|
By:
Disappointing outcome in the Women's Slalom when Zuzulova finished 4th and she was 8/100 from securing a very nice payout. We will try to get back on track today, when its the downhill both for Men and Women in North America.
Women's Downhill Lake Louise D Gisin 25/1 £20 William Hill D Gisin 6/1 £20 Willam Hill Top 3 Too good price to igonore. Pre-race fav Lindsey Vonn has not been convincing in training though I have a feeling she will produce a very good run when it matters tonight. The fastest on last days training was the Swiss Gisin, who is no stranger to success in this discipline. She won back to back victories 2 seasons ago and was 4th and 5th here last season when the Women competed last time around in Lake Louise. If she can reproduce last nights run she will be right up there and to these prices, we have to bet. Men's Downhill Beaver Creek You can make a case for at least 10 runners here. It is really that open. I will go for just one bet. Mario Scheiber 2/1 Top 3 £10 Unibet The Austrian was out with an injury one year from late 2008 to late 2009. Once he hit form last season after a few competitions, he has been second 3 times, from 7 World Cup starts. He has never won a World Cup competition in downhill or Super-G and that seems remarkable to me, since he is such a talented skiier. Will he finally get his maiden victory today? He might very well, been fast in training and was 2nd last week in Lake Louise and looks very consistent. As I said, it really is an open race tonight, but Scheiber should have a good chance of finishing Top 3 and I will invest. /Saslokk |

Additional bet , Women's Downhill
Anja Paerson Top 3 3/1 Skybet £20 The Swede has had a slow start to her campaign this season, but these days she is only prefered to the speed-events. She has been fast and consistent in all the three training runs and from her last 14 starts in downhill she has six Top 3 finishes. Anja has never had any wins in Lake Louise before, but she was 6th and 4th last year. 3/1 is simly too big for the race outsider who on a good day will be right up there. |

Time to hit a winner this time? I sure hope so.
Men's Slalom Sunday Silvan Zurbriggen To win 24/1 £10 Unibet Silvan Zurbriggen Top 3 6/1 £20 Unibet Marcel Hirscher to win £20 16/1 William Hill Zurbriggen I backed last time around and he had every chance of getting on the podium, but was just too passive. I expect to see the usual aggressive Swiss here and from startnumber 1 he has the perfect slope to acheive a great result. Hirscher is ultrafast and will win one day this season. Question is when. If he does not blow out of the course Sunday, he might be the winner. He really is that good and on capacity I rank him alongside the form Grange showed last slalom. Women's Giant Slalom Pietalae-Holmner Top 3 £10 15/1 Bet365 (14/1 Bwin) Also backed before this season and from two giant slaloms she has shown nothing. Having said that, I expect her to soon hit her usual form in this discipline and the surprise win in the slalom recently showed her what everyone knew - she can win on the big stage if she just gives it 100% and stops thinking. This is not a bet for those who strictly follows the formguide, butwhen it comes to the Swede it is more in the head, she has a silver medal from the world champs in this discipline a few years ago. It will be very interesting to see what she can do Sunday and at 15/1 I will take a shot. /Saslokk |

Pietalae-Holmner was never in contention.
Zurbriggen was 4th and again his 2nd run let him down of a podium finish ![]() Hirscher did the job though and won a comfortable victory in the end at a very nice 16/1. £280 net profit from todays £60 staked and I hope it will be more and more winners before the season is over [:D]/Saslokk |

Men's Super G - Val Gardena Friday
Christof Innerhofer 18/1 to win £10, William Hill The sole bet for me on Friday, will stay away from the Women's Super G in Val D'Isere, cause I cant find any good valuebets there. The Italian is on home soil and was fastest today on the downhill training. 4th and 6th so far this season in this discipline and I think he will be very dangerous in this race. Its a wide open race with at least 10 contenders for the win and Innerhofer is amongst those. If he nails his run, he can take a very popular home win and 18/1 is worth a try. /Saslokk |

Women's Giant Slalom - Semmering Tuesday 28 Dec 10.30 CET
Marmottan £10 to win, 30/1 Bwin Marmottan £20 Top 3, 8/1 Bwin (7/1 a few more bookies) Bit of a hype already on Betfair on the French girl and its not hard to see why. Marmottan is the most exciting skiier in the discipline so far this season and was 4th last time out, just missing out on the podium. Now she has joined the 1st seeded group for the first time in her career and has drawn bid number 8. Before she has had startingnumbers in the 20's, and could already have had 2 podium finishes, if not one giant miss in the 2nd run two starts ago and unlucky with the hundreds last time out. Rebensburg and Hoelz are the best in the Giant Slalom, but they are not miles clear of the pack. I rank Marmottan 5th in the race and are surprised we still can get prices this high. This could be the last time, so make sure you are on her side this time to these prices. Saslokk ![]() |

Marmottan not good at all in the 1st run and looks like a lost bet already.
Mens Downhill Bormio, 29 Dec Klaus Kroell £20 to win 10/1 William Hill Fastest in the 2nd practice run. Loves this slope. 10/1 Hill's got atm, expect a lot lower at any other bookie tomorrow. |
