This is great news as far as I'm concerned.

I know many people don't like the lighter weights but I can't wait to see the Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions to be added.

Makes so much sense to have it all under the one banner and for the Lightweights to come into the UFC.

Plus we'll get it all on ESPN!

Well done Zuffa.

It's basically a promotion which focusses on the lighter weight classes and is owned by Zuffa (the owners of the UFC).

They bought it a few years after they bought the UFC.  There were a couple more weight divisions (MW and LHW) but they got merged into the UFC a while back and that's when it became a lighter weight class focussed promotion.

Zuffa have finally decided to have all the weight classes under the UFC banner.  It was always going to happen but just a case of when.

So we'll have two more weight classes in the UFC with a 125lb (Flyweight) class to be created too.

Jose Also, Uriah Faber, Miguel Torres, Dominick Cruz are probably the most famous WEC fighters.

ufc had depth anyway but now its amazing

Yep, it's the fighters who aren't quite good enough who will lose out.  The cards will be more stacked with more title fights and more fights with title connotations.
