Will Cav chase points in the intermediates?

That's a good question

I'm not really sure but usually riders will start attacking as soon as they hit Paris and I suspect it's not really feasible for HTC to control the race for both intermediate sprints and still have enough left to bring it all back for the finish

If they do chase the intermediate sprints then he could be a lay for the stage

Ciolek top 3 for an interest. He was 2nd in Paris in 2008, and 4th last year. Hopefully the Milram boys just keep out of his way and let him find his own way to the line. Laugh

Devastating turn of pace, going over old ground I am sure but it's hard for newcomers to the sport to understand how Cavendish can win 5 out of 7 sprinting stages and not win the prize for best sprinter.

The sprint of Cavendish was very impressive indeed.

The Green jersey is actually a points competition, its a reward for consistency of high placings in the stages. The reason newcomers don't understand it is because there are people who have followed cycling for years who still give it the misnomer of sprinters jersey.

exactly. the reward for the best sprinter is to win lots of stages. that is enough
