Yep. It's all or nothing in the next 5km for Sastre. This does get very steep at the top
but he cant take almost 4min, its impossible. And then hes by his own on the flat and he cant get there. Big lay for me on sastre
Depends if the 4 mins was accurate - the time gaps in this race have been all over the shop
Flecha needs to ease off a bit to keep more riders in his group especially EBH. If Sastre can't get to them before the valley they'll just ride away from him

8min isnt enough. None of the 7 is a big climber, they probably would need at least 6min on the Tourmalet

I'd greened out after some pre-stage laying of the two favs and Sastre when he was away but tempted to go back in and lay Schleck. Might just forget betting though and enjoy the action.

from a stage win perspective if they head up together I wonder if Contador lets Schlek win? small payback for the chain incident perhaps.

contador definitely gave him the stage, but schlek deserved it.
How can you call that awesome stuff, its as dull as dishwater, the only good thing was the fans, I was crying laughing at some of them.
Schleck at 25/1 seems massive to me considering there's only 8 seconds in it?

El Gringo, it's pretty much accepted that Schleck has no chance of beating Contador in the TT hence the price.

Bump, I am sick of critical people so I am going to ignore them, I have completed 3 stage previews and given 40/1 and 11/4 winners, really enjoyed today's stage, Andy gave it everything but Contador was just too strong for him, nice touch for AC to gift Schleck the win and obviously good for my tip's lol.
watched the stage delayed as just in from work. Sport at its best!

Awesome stuff today...great stage and great fans on the climb...just broke my record this evening on my local circuit by 1 and a half minutes. Got into Schleck mode at the bottom third of the climb, upped my gears by three and out of the saddle for a quarter of a mile tongue out / face like a lobster.[:p]
Thanks for the previews and tips BW. Would've looked bad if Contador had tried to claim the Stage win after sitting on Schleck's wheel for nearly the whole climb.

Great stage. 5+ hours of pure enjoyment and a great climax up the Tourmalet.
Would have liked to see Schleck do a Landis and go on the Marie Blanque with his team in a suicide attack...but then..how did that turn out in the end.
