Because Hardy has to be wary of GSP's takedowns, that'll affect his standup Look at UFC 100 - if it was scored on a kickboxing basis, GSP destroyed Alves because Alves was worried about the takedown and a bit gun shy, yet if they were to actually meet in a kickboxing contest,Alves would win. GSP is a master and Hardy isnt even in the top 5 welters |

takedowns but it is a mma fight and i think hardy has pepared for GSPs strenths also i dont see him throwing many kicks. This is why im rooting for Hardy because GSP has reverted back to his boring boring wrestling and GnP. I Like Hardys attitude when it comes to his style.

How can you prepare for gsp hes a freak! Do u not think alves and fitch who are both far better than Hardy were aware of gsp's takedowns. I personally wudnt be interested if someone offered me 10/1 on Hardy

UFC 100 was a total disaster for me...went in big on Alves thinking his takedown defence would stop GSP and he'd knock him out.
:( GSP took him 5 or 6 times in the first round...and 11 times for then entire match FFS. |

id have a dabble at 10s i think but nothing below,gsp is far far too good. Id love to see a english champ but it just isnt going to happen. Hope Dan gives it his best shot though!

GSP is the best wrestler in MMA even though he never competed through the school system and became a national champion like Kos, so its almost as incredible an achievement as BJ becoming world bjj champ after only 3 years training in grappling
Hardy knows there is no way he can stop Georges takedowns - he has said he knows he'll end up on his back a few times. But he also says he'll stand back up and look to land a big punch. Problem is - how and why does he think GSP will let him off his back? |

Yeah but youre not getting 10s youre getting 5s and thats top price. You would be better off waiting for paddys to do their method betting and doing Hardy by KO if you really must back him because it should be bigger than 5s and its the ONLY way Hardy can possibly beat gsp

What sort of advice can Serra give Hardy?
"Ok Dan, make sure you hit him, its pretty hard but you have to do it. But whatever you do, don't crawl up into the fetal position so he can knee your body into oblivion." ffs GSP looks a bit mean and nasty.He looks more explosive than ever too. Hardy is in big motherfu(king bother. GSP via late 1st round mutilation. Herb Dean will be the Brit's best friend 4 minutes into the fight. I will be seriously lumping on Rush. He will make sure Serra I never happens again. |

No quetion for me that GSP is leagues ahead of hardy, better in every area by some margin. But there is just something about Hardy, watched a few of his fights and he looks like he loves been in the cage. The question is how big is a puncher's chance? I think I make Hardy about 8/1...

also think he's got GSP fairly worried....just a feeling I got watching the primetime shows. the whole shaolin monk think wouldve been a kick of the backside for and all his fans who had a dig at Hardy for being just a brawler and not a martial artist. then there's the training with Matt Serra. The thing I like with this is that between him and Ray Longo they'll leave no stone unturned getting him ready for a championship fight. |

marcus is and always has been an average joe,at least dan has potential and is going to get better,marcus isnt better than dan at anything and would get beat 10 times out of 10 for me.
