Its only a fight night so was never going to be an amazing card.
Maynard v Diaz is a decent fight. Escudero is also very good i expect him to move on to bigger and better things |
By:
i also like escudero, looking forward to seeing him fight again after his good performance against miller, think the main event is a decent fight aswell,Maynard is a bit boring but i really really dislike nate so will be cheering the bully on,he wont disapoint me either.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO NICK DIAZ? I USED TO LOVE WATCHING HIM FIGHT. THAT FIGHT AGAINST SANCHEZ WAS QUALITY
By:
He will fight for the Strikeforce welterweight title in a few weeks time. Is probably deserving of another shot in the UFC.
By:
Dana doesnt like him though and he isnt anything special
By:
Well i disagree i used to love watching him fight. He gave everything. That time he banged out that Robbie (cant remember his last name) Why doesn't Dana like him? He's a very good fighter
By:
Agree he's nothing special, but he goes out and bangs and is much better than some still in the UFC.
By:
Whats the script with that strikeforce lark Kauto?
By:
What do you mean mate?
By:
Well who has set it up and that?
I saw the one and only Fedor fighting not long ago in a cage. Was that strikeforce? |
By:
Yep, that was Strikeforce. Guy called Scott Coker is the main man over there. Only been around a few years, they were a Kickboxing Organisation util the UFC made modern MMA what it is today. Usual bandwagon jumpers. Fedor signed for them because he part owns M1 Global, a Dutch MMA organisation, and he wanted, or more accurately his managment team which owns the other half of M1, wanted to cross promote with the UFC. That would be doing a huge disservice to the UFC as it would by allowing M1 Global on to the big stage and big profits despite the UFC building up the sport for 10 years. Strikeforce agreed to co-promote, hence Fedor signed there, ducking all the best heavyweights in the world. Personally feel there is a bit of fear on Fedor's part too because he is not as good as he was and he'd get smashed. But as long as he avoids the UFC, he can still claim to be the best 265lb-er in the world.
Strikeforce is basically a 2nd rate MMA organisation - they are virtually all filled with UFC rejects and fighters not good enough to get into the UFC. Their heavyweight champ is a drug ** who has only fought once there in 2 years. They do have a womens division though. Its not very good, but go and have a look at just recently defeated champ Gina Carano. :x |
By:
Fedor's a drug **? and which heavy weight would beat him in the UFC?
By:
Fedor isn there champ. The drug ** is Alistair Overeem who refuses to fight in America time and again because of the random testing that goes on - instead he chooses to fight bums in Japan.
The 2003-2007 version of Fedor would hammer every heavyweight in the UFC. But the version of Fedor that has had such big problems in his last two fights, first on his feet vs Arlovski and then on the ground vs Rogers, would get beat by Lesnar, Carwin, Mir, Velasquez and Big Nog. |
By:
Well you obviously know your stuff pal but i'll have to disagree regarding fedor getting beat in the UFC. I think he'd smash everyone up.
By:
Not this Fedor. Believe me, he's on the wane. I was a huge fan whe he was tearing it up in Pride, but he looked slow and simply awful in his last two fights....not to mention he blatently wants no piece of the UFC.
Oh, and Junior Dos Santos would beat him too. Don't know how I forgot about him! |
By:
Wow.
By:
It all makes sense now.
By:
Why didnt any of else spot it before???
By:
Kauto is DANA WHITE :O
By:
not sure why he doesnt like him kauto,i just remeber him saying he thought he was a moroni have to agree,i hate the diaz brothers, they really do think they are great but rarely get the results to back that theory up. Gota disagree with some of the fedor comments too,i think lesnar would probably beat him now but i wouldnt bet on it and i disagree with all the others.

ELG - reveal my true identity again and I will get my homies the Fertitta's to get a hitman and bust a cap in your ass, you moron. Screw Strikefarce, I love Chuck and Tito is now my b1tch.
Mwawhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. :^0 Seriously though, everything I said there was true regarding M1 etc. And I do believe Fedor would get smashed if he ever had the balls to speak for himself and give the fans what we want to see - him fighting the best heavyweights in the world in the UFC. Its only him and his management stopping it, nobody and nothing else. And I know what all the Fedor bumboys think, been arguing with them for a year now, but you are deluding yourself if you think this Fedor is the same Fedor from a few years ago. Arlovski kickboxed and outstruck him so bad it was embarassing. He knocked him back with a leg kick and a straight jab within 20 secs. Fedor threw the most ugly jab ive ever seen in response. Fedor then clinched him for about 90secs while doing zilch so they were seperated. AA it him with a quick combination the speed of which shocked Fedor. He then hit Fedor another right hook, a punch to the body then a push kick. All the while Fedor done nothing. The push kick sent Fedor to the ropes and he bounced back. AA got too**y and stupidly went for a flying knee and got caught. when Fedor came back off the ropes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1ZnI8WV6UM Then we had Rogers, a fat mechanic (although amazingly Fedor made this bum look in shape!) who has only been doing MMA for just 3 years - majority of this time was part-time MMA - with one win worth anything under his belt, a demolition of Arlovski in 22secs that Fedor couldnt manage, with no ground game at all, breaking Fedor's nose with a jab inside 25secs, then sweeping him when both were on the ground 3mins into the fight. Couldnt believe my eyes. Couldnt believe it was Sambo Champ Fedor. But it was. Both tired badly in the 2nd round, mostly spent in the clinch, and just like against Arlovski, Fedor threw a huge right handed and it landed. Rogers wasnt in the top 50 in the world before he met Arlovski, then he beat AA so was promoted to top 20, then without fighting another fight, he was pushed into the top 10 simply because it was announced he was fighting Fedor. Talk about people looking to give the modern Fedor some credibility. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCZhDGQCGgk http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Update-Fedor-Injures-Hand-20799 |

By:
Each to our own opinion kauto, there is absolutley no proof that any of them would beat Fedor, its just your opinion. Mine is different,i agree with maybe Brock beating him when he was 100% fit but i disagree with the rest,Nog might have a chance but id back Fedor knocking him out as i would with Carwin and cain. Im not going to try and persuade you to think other wise and there is no point in you trying to do the same to me as we are both very opinionated as we have proved in previous arguments.
By:
whatever you think about fedor skills you all must admit to looking forward and like watching him fight. he does look vulnerable though
By:
Of course, like i said i was a big fan when he was a destroyer i Pride, but I just don't think he's the same fighter now at 33 that he was when in his mid to late 20's - and i think his last few fights show that. Not everyone can be Randy Couture.

alrite kauto
u think there is any value with lennox or lentz? |
By:
Story/Lennox is the wrestler vs wrestler fight we all like to see, because it usually develops into a standup war as both fighters wrestling cancels out the other. Tbh, I think Story is the likely winner. As well as ok striking, he has some nice subs too. He maybe shouldnt be as short as 4/11 though.
Lentz is deffo value at 2/1 with slybet. Won't let you get much on, but I'd doubt you'd want to bet plenty on a UFN undercard fight anyway. I can't fathom why TT is so short. Perhaps because the fight is likely to fo to the ground and TT is a BJJ fighter with Brazilian Top Team. But TT is likely to end up on his back against Lentz, s good wrestler, and he hasnt shown a whole lot from his guard. He did sub Jason Black with a triangle 3 years ago, but I dare say I could sub Jason Black from my back! I see this as almost 50/50, with maybe a bit of advantage to TT becase of his UFC experiece. Lentz deffo value. |
By:
thanks for ur insight pal
By:
i agree with lentz being value aswell.dont rate TT,think he is a bit of a bottler aswell.
By:
no worries

By:
any1 tempted by the price of diaz?
By:
Wish I could say yes :-(
By:
not a chance,he got taken down and comfortably beaten by joe daddy, gray is a far better wrestler than joe so more of the same on the menu imo.
By:
i remember watchin that fight, might be wrong here but didn't diaz take control early on?
By:
what bout lawlor and dunham, both 15/8, any value there u reckon?
have a gud record bettin on ufc but have 2 admit i am not that knowledgable bout sum of the guys on the card. I imagine there will be at least 1 decent priced winner out of this lot, its just finding the fecker |
By:
I doubt many of us are that knowledgable on some of these boys!
Yep, agree with Mehmet, more of the same as in this video: http://www.mma-core.com/videos/_Nate_Diaz_vs_Joe_Stevenson_TUF_9_Finale?vid=10005356 No strong opinions on Lawlor or Dunham |
