The Ravens are 8-4 so far this season, sitting joint top of the AFC North with the Bengals.

In itself, this isn't remarkable but I think they have performed over and above what might have been expected for a team with no stand-out wide receiver, no consistent fit running back and a star tight end who has been banged up and playing moderately for most of the year. Lamar is an excellent running QB but his throwing has been no more than adequate.

Essentially they are a tough outfit - after a couple of weak defensive performances early on where they lost games they should have won, the defense has come to play and enabled them to grind out gritty low-scoring wins, exemplified by their 10-9 defeat of Denver last week.

Overall, they seem well placed to thrive in this week's match up against the Steelers who similarly have 'steel' but also lack star talent and are doing the groundwork with rookie QB Kenny Pickett ("yes, you can").

For me, and the (now sub .500) predictor, Baltimore should be favourites here rather than 2.15 or a little bigger.

The predictor has this as Baltimore Ravens 24-16 Pittsburgh Steelers, and Baltimore are selected to win.

Kind of got this right - at least as far as Baltimore getting the win in a(nother) lowish scoring affair. Wasn't feeling very confident when Tyler Huntley went out though, being replaced with an undrafted rookie! Phew!
