Have the house to myself so finally get a free uninterrupted run at the Red Zone this week.
Too early for The Predictor but tentatively and casually aiming a few pounds at the Houston Texans to win against what might be another feeble Bears outfit this year. Doesn't feel like they should be clear underdogs.

I don't think Fields is going to make it myself. The Bears were outclassed by the Packers; though they should have been awarded that TD that would have got it back to a 7pt game.

Primarly..but not totally Chris J..getting 15 yards for verbal abuse when stopping Colts on 3rd down on their last drive 4th and never becomes automatic 1st down. Miamis home field advantage takes the biscuit..tropical heat and they sit in the shade all afternoon..while opposition sits in the sun ..Bills still blew it though... |

My Texans/Bears play was limited to a £15 same-game parlay which obviously went down with the Bears walk-off field goal. Sadly(ish) I got everything else right... Under 4.5 touchdowns  Over 1.5 rushing touchdowns Neither team to reach 25pts Over 2.5 field goals Houston Texans win On some level this was a moral victory, but that doesn't buy beer or pizza! |

The end of the Bills/Dolphins game was crazy stuff - Miami defense did amazingly well to hold out, especially after the arse-punt safety offered Buffalo a field goal win...

Dallas manage to get the win, and agree that looked too hard to call. Another decent outing for Saquon though, and a small 'big-up' to Cooper Rush who has gone 2-0 now despite widespread doubt (including from me) that he'd be able to get much out of the Cowboys offense...

Done a very creditable job...all 31 teams could have picked him up on waivers before they resigned him to the practice squad in the off season..
Cowboys D has done a great job to this point which has allowed his success to some extent but has shown very good composure for the most part. |

*self correction...according to an article I just read he didn't go through waivers (pretty sure the comms on one game suggested he did).. he was subject to a veteran specific clause..
He is what is known in the NFL as a "vested veteran." Players who earn this status have four or more years of accrued service time in the NFL, and they get some special perks as a result. One of those perks is that vested veterans are not subject to waivers if released by a team. So, Rush did not have to pass through waivers and risk being claimed by another squad; he was free to sign anywhere after being cut, so he came back to Dallas on a practice squad deal. |
