Kaepernick "Protest"

I don't personally have a problem with the protesting. He's in a position of great influence where by he can transcend a message of needed change to a huge audience and raise awareness. What I do have a problem with however is only kneeling during the anthem. Whats that suppose to solve? You're just highlighting an already highlighted problem. If your going to draw national spotlight and kneel during the anthem, go and speak to the police during the week, go and spend time with the people your standing up for, start building bridges for change. Don't just kneel for 90 seconds before a game so you dominate ESPN's sportcentre for a week

Some things will never change




Well 2pac, America did get a black president (from Chicago, not african-american in the historical sense but still, progress) but you'd be sad to know there wasn't any change, after 8 years the only change the people are left with is a little bit of change in their pocket.  It's a shame 2pac isn't here, a true voice of change, I'm sure he would help shed light on the current situation in an eloquent way that Kaepernick never can.  Also Kaepernick was adopted and raised by white parents so I don't think he's speaking wholly from experience and maybe he's just learning these things now.  Ok Kap we got it, there's a problem, we knew this already but good work buddy, fight the good fight.  But if you're going to take up the fight at least be constructive.  Maybe start with how the country can rack up such a massive debt but can't find the money to spend on inner city schools which are in very bad condition.

I'm glad people are starting to see Kaepernick's protests for what they are.
