Blues/Sharks v Penguins Stanley cup final. Penguins playing amazing hockey and have been hot for a while now, they've made the best team in the league this season look very ordinary in their first two games, even though they lost the first game they still dominated them. I expect the stanley cup 2016 to be won by the red hot penguins

Pittsburgh Penguins 5/2
St Louis Blues 7/2
San Jose Sharks 5
Dallas Stars 13/2
Tampa Bay Lightning 8
Washington Capitals 12
New York Islanders 16
Nashville Predators 25

The Pens keep rolling at the right time of year.
while the Penguins picked it up as the season went on. Plus I need some Trevor Daley playoff magic.
The streak is real, with or without Malkin.
Top-heavy Pens are too talented.
Pens are not just a hot team but a hot team with great underlying numbers.
Rumour has it the Penguins are getting Marc Andre Fleury back sooner rather than later. Malkin probably returning for the first round, the Penguins have more happening up front especially now that Phil Kessel found his scoring buddy.
The Pens have heated up at a good time.

The Pittsburgh Penguins took a game away from the Verizon Center in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series with the Washington Capitals. That gave the Pens home-ice advantage in the series and they protected that advantage on Monday night with a win at home. The Penguins are now considered the Stanley Cup favourites, priced 7/2 with numerous sportsbooks, including B365 and Better Victor. That is major news in the betting market since Washington have been considered favourites for several months now.

Pittsburgh, in Game 3, stopped Washington 3-2 for a 2-1 series advantage. Matt Murray has been central to Pittsburgh’s success so far as he starting filling in for Marc-Andre Fleury early in the playoffs after the regular Pittsburgh starter suffered an injury. However, Fleury was available for action in Game 3 against Washington yet Mike Sullivan decided to go with Murray instead. That Sullivan has both Murray and Fleury to go to is certainly a great reason to have faith in this Pittsburgh team.

On that note Barry Trotz, the head coach of the Washington Capitals, said that Murray is “looking like a franchise goaltender.” That’s a big compliment to an unheralded 21 year old, but it certainly is one that Murray is living up to. He set a record for most saves made by a rookie in a regulation NHL playoff game in Game 3 with an incredible 47 saves. Maybe Trotz, who has never won a second-round playoff series in nearly two decades of NHL head coaching, is planting the seed for an upcoming excuse for his regular-season champs crashing out of the playoffs – something I think they will do this round.

The odds on the Pens have been shortening pretty consistently for a couple months now, ever since they started showing some promise in the latter stages of the regular season. Priced at 7/2 and on the verge of going up 3-1 against Washington it seems that anyone that wants something decent on the Pens will have to act soon. Game 4 in the series is a Wednesday nighter and Pittsburgh will be at home where the Pens are playing well lately.

If they win then they will have three chances to close out the Capitals and await the winner of the Islanders and Lightning. While Dallas and St. Louis loom large in the west, right now the Eastern Conference is looking like Pittsburgh’s to lose.
Recommendation: 2-pt bet on Pittsburgh to win the Stanley Cup at 7/2 B365 (now 5/2 a few hours later !)

Some firms still have the caps 7/1 for the stanley cup Cry Dont know how they worked that one out. 4/6 to win game 5, will be 11/10 to win back in pittsburgh, then around 4/6 again back at home if it goes to game 7, thats 9/2 ish just to win this series! I fully expect the penguins to end this in game 5 or 6 though.

The stars/blues series is now a coin flip, still think the blues will edge this. And you really would expect the winner of the pens/caps and blues/stars to deal with whoever makes it out of the other 2 games in their conference finals

Penguins have now knocked out the best team in the league this season, therefore they should now have no problem winning the cup, but its never that easy. The Tampa Bay Lightning really have showed some grit & teamwork and won't be no pushover, but you really would expect the penguins speed & class to beat these, tampa without 2 main guys and have still looked awesome these playoffs.

And also how has awful Nashville took this series 7 games? so far the home team has won every game in the series, so it's still looking good for the sharks who are the much better team in my eyes.

Since conference finals format began in 1982, teams that win Game 3 of tied conference finals series have gone on to win 80% of time.

Looking like an 80% chance of sharks/penguins final then. The sharks are playing great hockey! i thought the blues would take this series but the sharks are bossing it. Blues fear the sharks powerplay, so thats stopping them from playing their true style and blowing this series. sharks/penguins would be a great final.
