Although no one admits it but it's the moment you all love and can't wait for......when I reveal my selections for the weekend!!!
They say defences win Super Bowls. What utter nonsense. And today will prove it as the two best offences on display will prevail in both games.
MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIV MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSJVE MASSIVE (BET OF THE SEASON MASSUVE) ON THE ARIZONA CARDINALS +3
MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE BET ON THE OVER 21.5 ARIZONA CARDINALS POINTS TOTAL
Vegas believe these two can't be split - they are saying if this was in a neutral venue it would be a pick em.
This is a horrible match up for the Panthers. If you look at the team's that have caused them problems his season it's teams with a big deep ball threat - New Orleans Saints (twice), Giants, Falcons - Julio Jobes absolutely murdered their secondary in the only loss the have suffered this season.
Larry Fitz, John Brown, Floyd, will be licking their lips at the prospect of this secondary today......Finnegan and McClain are just not good enough and have been burned so many times this season. Josh Norman, who himself hasn't been great recently, can't cover the three of them.
I love Bruce Arians. Last week I hated him. I had a huge bet on the Cardinals +7 and he ripped my guts out. But in the cold light of day I absolutely love this guy. He attacks - attack attack attack. He wil go right at the Panthers tonight and he won't blink. The Cardinals will go deep as much as possible. He will not take his foot off the gas.
The market has been against the Panthers most the season.....the market has expected them to wilt so many times. The market had been with the Cardinals for most the season. I remember talking to a pro gambler - a guy as shrewd as they come - when the Cardinals smashed the Packers a few weeks back and he said then that they are the best team in the NFL and would win the super bowl.
The cardinals did not play well last week - but hey they still won and were winning by 7 until two Hail Marys prolonged the game. A mark of a good team is winning when you are not playing well
I'm a huge Cam Newton fan and I think he has been outstanding all season long. But can he carry this team on his back? Olsen, also been excellent, took a real bad stinger last week and didn't look great at the end of the game. Teddy Ginn is banged up.
I can see this turning into a shoot out and I think this is the worst possible match up for the Panthers. They have been burned by similar offences this season. And this is the best offence they will have faced this season. I think the Cardinals will score well in this match, it's a question of whether the Panthers can out score them in a shootout in my humble opinion.
MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE BET ON THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -3
This game has vexed me all week. I have been trying to work out if Denver's excelkent defence can stop Brady and co. And after much thought, I just don't think they can.
Denver need their defence to win it because Manning is done. Three times last week they started drives in excellent field positions and came away with two field goals. They could barely run the ball against the steelers. Everyone knows you load the box, stop the run and force Manning to beat you in the air. Won't happen.
Their previous match is my determining factor. No Edelman or Amendola and the Gronk carted off yet the Broncos still only won in overtime- basically only reached overtime because of a muffed punt.
With Edelman, Amendola and the Gronk at his disposal I think the Pats will score at least 20 pats tonight. For the life of me I can't see Denver scoring 21.....I think they will be lucky to get 17.
Brady can win a match and turn a match on his own. Manning just can't anymore.

Defences 1-0 up after the first game.

hmmm, if that was a shoot out in game 2 then it was an Uzi v an air rifle. must admit i had hoped for, and expected, a closer game than that too. Has to be a real fear that despite the Denver D looking pretty impressive it may still be a Superbowl blow out.

They say defences win Super Bowls. What utter nonsense.
Ahem.
I hope for the reputation of the game that Denver dont win by that strangling defence and despite of Manning. If Newton's on it from the start then the Panthers should have too many guns for them.
Denver couldnt play as well as that again. Surely....

To be fair to Clay he puts voices his opinion before games and he has had some very good weeks - it didn't go for him last weekend but who gets it right all the time!?

I like a man who stands up to be counted! Easy to point the finger from the sidelines afterwards.
I got the Broncos game wrong too. I thought Pats would get a close win. After the defeat I was too deflated to take the money on Panthers. C'est la vie

You will find out the real Clay Pigeon as time passes.
He used to copy and paste previews of Argentinian games off the internet then the killer guess tip at the end.
His credibility shot to bits on the Betfair Football Forum so he now moves onto NFL
Hopefully people do not take him serious

This is the same Clay Pigeon who said the Seahawks were rubbish years ago before they wiped the floor with everyone and were 1 bonhead call away from back to back Superbowls. He has made some much better picks recently so have to congratulate him on those BUT and it's a big BUT.....drop all the MASSIVE MASSIVE baloney and people will respect the write-up even more.

Brady tunred the ball over a couple of times otherwise the winnings would have gone on the Panthers and we'd be eating steak with cab sauv not meat pie with tizer!
Going to make it back with the Panthers in the final. Incidentally. My mate went to The States in the early 80's and got me a Michigan Panthers shirt. How did that translate down to Carolina?

Clay Pigeon portrays himself as an expert on Argentinian football and his record was questioned after most of his tips sold people down the river.
Don't take his rubbish serious as he copies and pastes previews from the internet then sticks his nonsensical tips on the end.
When it goes down the pan, the Clay Pigeon flys the burning nest.
His last tip on the football forum was a lay of River Plate - River Plate won 5-1
People who take the Clay Pigeon serious end up as Pigeon Soup.

The River Plate game he talks about is when they were 1.6 away to Atletico Rafaela - the equivalent of Man a City away to Sunderland. I was against River as a) they were in poor form b) resting players and c) had bigger fish to fry with the Libertadors campaign. I would lay them again given exact same circumstances. Thus was the back on me laying River at home to Aldosivi at 1.36 (Aldosivi won) and laying River away yo Belgrano at evens (they drew).
Ask most people on the football forum and they enjoyed my previews and tips and I did well. As for coping and pasting them....well try and find Argentinian football previews in English? Ok, I speak Spanish but you see my point. You can't copy and paste.
The reason I stopped doing the previews, as people on football forum will back up, as this joker was just constant. I love banter, I get plenty in here, and can handle all sorts of criticism. But there comes a tipping point.
It's time consuming. And when you get people like this joker then it's just not worth the hassle. Unfortunately the people who enjoyed my threads miss out.

I got a tip on football ( Gent qualify from Champions League Group around 9-1 ) from somebody who did not have the best of reputations on the forum. I looked at what he said and did some research. I think I had a tenner at Arsenal and Gent qualifying from the Champions League Group at 38-1 and loaded up on Arsenal to qualify at 4.5. I did not know that much about Gent at the time so did not want to throw money at them hence only a tenner and as I had belief in Arsenal qualifying I rode it. I don't normally bet on the To Qualify markets.
I was having a bad run at the time and these two bets brought me in something like £900 and I was off again.
Even if I was to disagree with everything Clay says it gives me a starting point...thesis, antithesis, synthesis. Why would anyone back what Clay says blind....how dumb is that?
I haven't got a problem with anyone who fronts up ante post. People's opinions can be useful. Some are good and you think twice about your own choice. Some are bad and it reaffirms your own belief. Clay gives his tips and opinions why he supports it. Amen to that.
