Week 7 AFC clash jets @ pats what will be the spread.

My thoughts on the Jets are they have an excellent defence.  The start has flattered them though , they haven't really played a decent team and the Patriots aside the AFC is pretty weak. ( Benegals & Steelers worthy of mention ) .  The qb situation is going to be found out and Fitzpatrick will revert to type soon enough and go well start against the Patriots.

As much as I dislike the Patriots they are an awesome side and I would need double digits at the least before I would consider even looking at the Jets and been honest I probably still wouldn't.

But go with what you feel yourself

I would have guessed 8.5...just had a look and the ones betting now are giving the Jets 9

I doubt a double digit spread in all honesty but if you would like to spot me 11,l will give you the draw as well

I will see how the spread moves but lm inclined to think it will shrink during the week but 9pts if available is a fair bet and will play for decent money at 9pts.

Best of luck , the game doesn't interest me though you said you would be a player at 7 1/2 personally think that's poor. But seeing as it won't be my money you are taking I hope you win on it

The thread was my attempt to compare my handicapping skills against others views it will be interesting,nothing more,to see who is correct but will follow my convictions at what l see are favourable betting oppurtunities.

Oh I agree although its subjective I'm a believer in value , if you are not getting it long term you are doomed imo.   I can't make a case for the jets against the pats but that don't make me right.  The Jets could beat them ,any given sunday and all that..  I gave my opinion of what I thought the spread would be but as I said it's extremely unlikely I will be involved in this game

I think the Jets will benefit from the quiet approach of Bowles, in contrast to Ryan who seemed to view games against New England, as an opportunity to place himself in the media spotlight. While in doing so, he was often entertaining, I would question if this helped the team. On a wider note, I think football fans everywhere must be rooting against New England. They were caught cheating - not for the first time - but have somehow managed to view themselves as the victims, which they turned into a week by week crusade. Tom Brady is without doubt one of the greats. Equally without doubt however, he is a cheat.

This is a load of old sh1te though, isn't it? The scientific case (for deflategate) is weak, and the whole philosophy that these guys would be hated because they cheat presupposes that the rest of the league is somehow virtuous.  When there's teams like the Cowboys happy to pick up wife-beaters, and a league-wide embracing of the PED culture, it's just crazy to label one team cheats because the QB was chewing out the ballboys for over-inflating the ball.  all teams use drug cheats.  Why would the Pats be hated?

Having said all that, I'm with the Jets in this one, but that's a pro-Jets thing, not an anti-Pats...

I hate the patriots more than any other team but that's just me so wouldn't say it's a load of s hit
