But on the bright side, New England was the tougher part of the double so Green Bay carries leg 2 money with confidence. Probably back Miami in the outright market to beat the Skins at better than 1/2 and call that a day for week 1. |

Atlanta a good win and double bubble because I'm on them for the SB and Eagles loss helps my Cowboys position. I had been tempted to back Atlanta at 6/4 last night, but then I'd also thought long and hard about doing the Eagles to get 28.5+ so the two offset. In summary on week 1I missed an opp to back Tennessee who I fancied to beat Tampa, and Atlanta as mentioned. But then, I had a couple of side bets which should have been left alone (and are ultimately the reason I'm down), so not a bad week 1. Was a hair away from landing the four-timer acca and having a +positive on the week. Will be focusing on singles and outright result accas for week 2 and if I mention any prop bets, please somebody talk me down... |

week 2: Denver (+3.0) - £42 to win £50 (b/f exchange, not yet matched) I'm amazed by the price here. I think week 1 has been overreacted to because, 1. Houston are overrated (they don't have a QB FFS, so were really bad favourites against KC). 2. Because KC were slight outsiders (incorrectly in my view) it's seen as them being strikingly good when they cause the upset. 3. Denver were so poor offensively (No TDs for PM). Why I think it's value: Denver defense looked awesome against a very good Baltimore offense. Denver has better form (admittedly it's a sample of 1 game) because beating Baltimore is a harder game than beating Houston. Denver did the double v KC last year. There almost has to be some sort of improvement from PM and the offense. If PM is FINNISH, and he may be of course, then Denver wont win, but I expect a close game and I had expected Denver to be 3 point favourites, not dogs. Too big a price not to get involved. |
